Discussion: To screen or not to screen...

I pitched back when there was really no division but everyone played in the same bracket, there was alot of action up the middle then. It seems now in the senior division I would say over 80% of players can control where they hit the ball, I still believe it is up to an individual to decide to pitch, and know how to play that position to be ready for the comback hits.

Discussion: Ratings

I know this has been discussed before. With the debate of AAA and Major, over the last couple of years playing against teams in both classes the gap is very small between the two. Why not try a few tournaments playing them both in the same bracket and see where all the teams end up. I believe you will find that the majority of the AAA teams can play straight up with most of the Major teams. I would like to see some ideas on the subject.

Discussion: Anyone in NC hitting

Pieman, I live in Clayroot, about 15 miles outside of Greenville, I would like to hit too, there is a diamond at the senior center on County Home Rd. We use that for practice once in awhile if you get any takers for hitting let me know.

Here is a general idea. Managed Major ball for years, If you are carrying about 14 players bat them all in pool play, when tourney starts bat your 10 fielders as usual then out of the remaining 4 I batted 1 Dh and used the remainder to relief anyone not hitting or exhaustion.

The senior circuit has been a fantastic place for the over 50 player. I know change is good, my opinion after pitching for 20 years is that a 6-12 arch and the 1-1 count regardless of a mat has been working fine all this time, if a hitter wants to hit he will the ones that don't will wait till the ball hits the mat.

Ju25, who do you play with now? All the players from Michigan I have played with in the past, It is great hearing all of these guys are still playing sure would like to see some of the old guys at a tourney. Thats what the senior circuit is all about remembering all the old times and friendships we established with teams over all these years.

Mr.Mannassas, I probably pitched against you, played for Liberty Const. pitched a high one once to Monty Tucker, a line drive that went about 350 never getting over 10 ft high. Played with Doug Gerdes in Dearborn, Mi. for years. Butch17 I know I played against you several times. Had a battle with Maroadis for a championship in the 45, lost by 1 run.

Great Post, Was lucky enough to play with alot of guys from the teams from Michigan. JU25, probably played with you, I played with Doug Gerdes for years. Anyone from the north has to know the teams of Nothdurf, Top Notch Travel, Liberty Construction, Budweiser, Coors, and many more. I live in North Carolina the past 9 years but am playing for a team from Virginia...

Discussion: New Team

What is the rule for starting a new team, using Major and AAA players? The way I understand the rule is if a Major team wants to move players to AAA team there is a limit to how many of those players can go to that team.
