Steve, Who got hurt? Charles McCraine would be a good one to pick up. He can play any position.

Discussion: Armed Forced: Did you Serve?

Was drafted & served in Viet Nam: got ridiculed when I came home; but felt I did the right thing. I love the way we are standing by our troops whether we believe in the war or not. Please post your time in the Armed Forces; indicate age & whether you are a Vet; any special medals please indicate.

Discussion: Update on Mark Purvis

Just spoke to Joanna. She said they are looking for a reglar room for Mark. He has no IV's hooked up--just monitors. Doctors said the 4 stints he had put in in October are working great. He put in one more stint in a place that had not been blocked in October. He said it was just a freaky thing and that Mark should be fine. Mark suggested to the Dr. that he might have to quit playing softball. Dr. asked him "Why in the world would you want to do that?" Dr. said to rest a couple of weeks, and get back on the field as soon as he felt like it. Mark and Joanna realize how blessed he is to be here today and said to thank everyone for their prayers and phone calls.

Bruce, we don't have Don for his spelling! We don't have him for his good looks! Just exactly why do we have Don?

Discussion: Montgomery tournament

It was a good tournament in Montgomery. The team as a whole hit real well. I think we finally came togrther and hit the ball well, despite the conditions. Also, my hats off to the people who ran the tournament and the umpires. They did a great job. Last, the ball we used was great.

Discussion: Practice

The southern part of the Old South Miken Team will be practicing in south Georgia tomorrow. I hope the northern part is doing the same, considering the beating ya'll took in south Fla. last weekend.
By the way, are we AA or AAA?

Redeye, it's good to hear from you! I'm looking forward to seeing the Silver Legends in the south. We have had a pretty good start to the season. We were moved up to Major+ and time will tell if we deserve to be there. Still having fun though. Bruce is staying beat up, but you know how those older guys are!! Just kidding Bruce. Look forward to seeing all in Augusta or somewhere down the road.

R.T. broke a bone in his arm right above the elbow. Doctor says six weeks, R.T. says four. I don't think he will miss any tournaments.

Bruce, right now I think the plan is to go to augusta. We are trying to get into Kendo's big tournament in Valdosta in the 40+. They need three more teams if anyone is interested. There are about 80 teams in the whole tournament in 5 divisions. It will be good practice.
