Right on OZ. It's amazing to me that so many Americans relinquish their freedoms.

What's the over/under on how many lives the Government, medical, and media will claim they saved? They'll pat themselves on the back and grab some number out of their a--.

So what if 30+ million people are out of work

So what if "a few" businesses are gone forever.

So what if the economy tanks.

So what if they trampled the Constitution.

On a personal note. If you are over 70 like I am, calculate what percentage of your remaining life expectancy was stolen from you.

FLATTEN THE CURVE! FLATTEN THE CURVE!

Well...Mission accomplished. What's our next hurdle?

TESTING! TESTING!

Are the results going to dictate when we can get back to life? What are the parameters? What does isolation mean for the ones that test positive? Reopen Manzanar?

Why are the shutdown rules the same for Lone Pine and San Francisco, Detroit and the UP?

After TESTING! TESTING! What does the nanny state have in mind?

I'm in my 70's, just as soon not spend what time I have left huddling on the couch.

Dbax. You are correct. This is no swine flu. Swine flu killed 12400 Americans.

Dave. You forgot to answer the question. Did the SSUSA (or any of the other organizations listed) cancel events for the Swine flu (or Ebola or SARS) for people over 65?

When I drive to a tournament, the only other passenger is a 70 year old woman in good health except for a mean streak. We stay in "clean" places and eat in "clean" places. We look out for ourselves.

The 70's team play on (until my manager sees this) has a rule about not greeting each other with a kiss on the lips. Fist/elbow bumps.

NYC limits groups to 500. Softball limits are 22 plus umpires.

I will refrain from personal attacks.

I'm pissed off. I looked up the statistics of the swine flu in 2010. Up to 575000 infected, 12400 deaths in the US. Did the SSUSA cancel tournaments then? If not, what's different? I'm 72 years old and should have the FREEDOM to choose if I want to attend an event. The SSUSA is taking that choice away. Lack of trust in your customer? Not enough attendance to be profitable? Law suits? If its the health and welfare of the players, let them decide.
No MLB,NHL,NCAA etc. The're all doing this for you. Did they cancel for the Swine flu?
OK. I'm ready to be chastised by group.

Reload. DD's team had more injuries and are not going to Mesquite. Anyone else need an outfielder? 65AAA or 70 Major. I live in AZ.

Just found out my 70 major team will not be playing in mesquite. Looking for a team to play on in this tournament. I'm an outfielder but can play 1st or 2nd base or catch of course. I can run for myself and anyone else (fastest 70 yr old you know). I'm on a 70s major and 65aaa roster so I'll need USSA permission to play. I live in Phoenix.

Still need outfielders for Kingman? I play outfield in Scottsdale and Fountain Hills and with a N/W team. I am 69, but would be comfortable playing 65AAA.

Capt. M,

Thanks but I just made arrangements to play in a tournament in Shelton, WA. I have a non reimbursable flight to SEA on the 12th so couldn't make the Salem Tourney. Willing to travel to cooler climates in the summer time to play ball.
