Discussion: Which Ball travels further: ASA or SSUSA

Well here is a story for you.
We played in the Atlantic Coast championship in Raleigh NC.
Prior to the tourney, we received an email that contained tourney information. One of the bullet points stated that ASA balls we being supplied because of shipping delays with the SSUSA Stotes.
Well half way through the tourney we discover that some teams brought their own Stotes and would toss them in for big situations such as men on base it the open inning. We called time and brought it to the umps attention. Long story short he calls this ass hat director over who ALLOWS them to use the balls they brought not the balls the tourney is supplying!
There was a huge difference in performance and the director allowed for an uneven playing field.
So being your own balls just in case you run into another ass hat director.

Discussion: Is it too soon to compare the new Dudley Hot 14" vs the new Adidas Melee 2 - two piece?

Exactly MN, all the top manufacturers have great bats.
Miken, Adidas, Dudley etc. are all close in performance. So it really does come down to, what are you most consistent with? Does 10 extra feet of distance really matter if you're only hitting .500 with it?
I own all the aforementioned bats and found that I'm most consistent with the one piece 12" Adidas.

As far as I know, the only Dudley HotW bats out there right now are prototypes. I'd be weary of any review of them until the actual consumer product is available (I'm hearing late Jan early Feb).

Discussion: 2018 1and 2 piece Hyper Z endload

I had both bats. The one piece 27 was extremely end loaded. I like a good EL but this was too much. Performance was just OK. I sold it with about 200 hits so I cant tell you how hot it would have gotten. The 2 piece was another story. 27oz felt good and it was opening up real nice. However, once it got close in performance to my Adidas and Miken bats, it broke. Less than 500 swings for me.

Or go back to awarding 1st after the limit is met. I think that would also offer some protection to the pitchers. I know when the HR's are up, I start thinking middle.

6-10 foot arc? You've got my vote! Definitely would be easier for batters and umps to judge it.

Discussion: 2017 Dudley Lightning Legend 2.0 13" Balanced compared to Addias Melee 2 Balanced

For my swing, the Melee is a little hotter, but the Dudley is more durable hands down. I have a 2.0 with well over 1500 swings on it. My Melees usually crack in under 800.

Discussion: WORLDS AND NEW 4 DAY FORMAT

Our 50's team always arrives a day or two early to the Vegas tourney, so won't make much of a difference for us. We'll just play right away as opposed to having a day to get acclimated.
