Yes, they are great! Stayed hard, u get a nice sound and feel when hitting them.
I wouldn't use them for BP...could be bat breakers..

Discussion: Is there a poundage/inch pounds pass/fail test for Sr bats?

I ask cause a local low level senior co-ed day league is now testing Sr bats which only women and men are allowed to use. They have no idea what poundage figures they're looking for on the SR bats.
All others must use USA/ASA bats.

Discussion: Need rule interpretation--Senior co-ed Rec league

Dave, I posted the non SSUSA rule here to get interpretation from some really knowledgeable folks here as there are mixed views on what it means from those in the league.
Does the rule say the batter MUST walk at 4-1? It looks as if the batter MAY CHOOSE to stay in the box with up to 2 strikes before deciding to walk......?

This is the text of the rule..Is it the batters choice, MAY walk at a 4-1 or 4-2 count or a MUST walk at a 4-1?
"All batters start with a 0-0 ball/strike count and are allowed 4 balls and/or 3 strikes. However, intentional walks are not allowed. A batter may choose to receive at least one strike before talking a walk"

Note the words MAY and at least(more than one)
Gentleman..your thoughts.

Discussion: Balls

Dave, the balls that were promised last Feb were the ones from BSN, not Baden correct?

Discussion: The new Senior Baden ball.

I just hit the new Senior ball and it feels fine.
All of this was done off a T in 80 degree Pacific NW weather.
Alternating 18 Baden 44/375 Seniors and 18 Baden 44/400 ISA...All new
Im not a great longball hitter but they all jumped and felt the same.
I could not tell the difference in feel or distance.
The cover is nicer I think than the past Red Fires and the stiching and tucked under seams are cleaner than in the past.
The key to this performance "issue"....keep the balls out of the sun and in the shade!
Those black PVC ball holders on the backstops are heaters..Better they are in the umps belt ball bag or in the dugout.
And of course dont forget the 5 lb compression loss for every 1 degree increase in heat.
44/375 at 70 degrees, at 90...its 275 comp..
Havent experienced them in Vegas game conditions yet..

Eyes are getting older...hoping to find a scorebook wih a large square field box, lines for at least 15 players and if possible, bigger print overall....you know, like one of those phones or adding machines for seniors :)

Wood, I'm hitting one up here in OR. Still cold and wet so using room temp ASA balls when I go out. It needs more breaking in before I'd use it in a game. Being a 27.5, its a little too heavy for me anyway. Harder balls would make a difference....will have to wait for a warmer day before I chance that. Rol-
