Discussion: Which bat to buy?

Wood_1966 it shouldn't be a red flag. It's the prior year's model and with heavy inventory levels due to the coronavirus pandemic, I'm sure they are clearing space for the 2021 model (current).

Quick question, the Melee has been a proven performer from Reebok to Adidas, has the SunCoast dropped off? I see you didn't mention it. Do you have video of the New Easton's in action?

There have been many great suggestions above. However, I like the Oakley Flax 2.0 glasses with the VR-28 polarized lenses. You are also able to get them in your prescription, being that many of us require them now. I purchased mine at LensCrafters. Note, because mine were progressives they were a little on the pricey side. Here's a link to give you a sense of what the glasses look like--these are not the lenses I suggested.

It appears all tournaments for the next 60 days have been canceled. I appreciate SSUSA doing the right thing by doing what it could to protect the players and families of this great sport that we all love. No one should have to choose between their deep passion and family safety. Please see this link (https://seniorsoftball.com/?news&story=1589). Stay safe everyone.

DocDuck, how can you be so sure if there are only prototypes out at this time? Will the production models perform exactly like the prototype? It seems we would need to have both production models for the Adidas Melee 2 and the Dudley available.

Discussion: New Senior bat technology and performance insights

Interesting, I suspect your hitting approach has some baring as well. For example, cutting the ball versus hitting the center of the ball.

I tend to hit the center of the ball and have power, but it sounds like you may be suggesting that once your bat barrel has reached this soft state, you could cut back on your swing and experience good results.

Is this the inference?

Do all new bats have this new technology? Or are we talking about Worth and Miken exclusivity?

I would love to hear more.

Thanks,
Dermont
