Is there a team list available for the 2022 Top Gun Spring Classic?

Need and education (again). In reviewing the tie breaker(s) criteria as stated in all tournament schedules... It states that the tie breaker method will be as follows:

Tie Breakers - Head to head (in full RR only), least runs allowed, run differential, coin toss

What is defined as "full RR only"? And how often is "full RR only" in play/used?

x3 (w/ Dbax/FOFO)... Great job SSUSA (staff), D˛ and all involved in session 1. And the posting of results as quickly as they were, are commendable. Great start to 2022.

Thanks Dan. I am more curious why almost all other tournaments hosted, have above stated info, the AZ sector does not. Just seems incomplete, void of interest and secondary to all other tourneys.

Can someone shed some light on why it is sparse and inconsistent that any information (other than dates, fields and deadlines) is put out in the Arizona Section Qualifiers? List of teams? Schedule(s)? Let alone, Results? Nothing....

While I completely grasp the concept of "orphans" and playing multiple teams, etc. but would another "alternative" have been, leaving everything as you have currently designed, but placing the (2) 60M with the (5) 55AAA's both R/I=6 in a 7 team group(pod) and placing the (3) 60M+ and (3) 55M both R/I=7 in a 6 team group (pod). The other groupings remain unchanged.

This is in no means intended as a criticism, just an observation from a guy that has waaaaaaaaay toooooooo much time on his hands !!

No amount of money could get me to do what you do... And I mean that with true sincerity.

D˛ About this time a year ago you wrote.... "My personal preference is to strive to minimize "equalizers" whenever possible rather than try to force staying in the same age group, so long as the age group straddle is only "one click" ... Putting a 55-Major in with the 50-AAA's (both R/I=7) is rarely an issue ... In any event, my preference is to play "straight up" when possible ...

What happened in Cat City? Could/should 55/60's with R/I=6's played amongst themselves and the R/I=7's played amongst themselves as well?

Just trying to understand.

Thanks D˛. ..... Sorry, one more.

Since 60 Major is equal to 55 AAA (using the Ratings Chart) can 5 players from Team A (60 M) plus 4 players from Team B (60 M) and 4 players from Team C (55 AAA) form a new team and play @ 55 AAA?

D˛. One last clarification, "ACTUAL history" is defined as how long a period?

Thanks D˛. So I guess then, the key point is TWO appearances at any ratings level will "lock" you in at the higher level.

Multi-part question

If a player has played on a 60 AAA team for a while, and then is asked to fill-in (one time) for a 55 Major team (Team A), does that player then receive a Major "tag" for which he has to retain for two-years?

And if the answer is, yes (he will retain a Major tag), does that tag impact (travel back to) the original 60 AAA team that he is still roster-ed on?

And if that same player is then released from (Team A), can that player join a different 55 team (Team B)? And if so, at what rating?

When looking at the Ratings Table, it would suggest yes, even though I struggle with the equalizer narrative. IMO, skill always trumps age.

How long has the Ratings Index (Table) been in effect?

Has it ever been revised/updated?

PLAYERS >>> Would you rather play, in your same age bracket using an equalizer OR playing across in a different age bracket "straight up"?

Hacker.... I have been fighting with this issue as well.. What I have found, is the address that is being "pointed to/launched" is being re-directed.

What does this mean?...

Look in the address line and remove everything in front of http://www.

EXAMPLE >>>>> redirect.php?redirect=

Hit return and poof, the links become downloadable.

Good Luck

Discussion: Ratings Clarification

If a team gets moved up a level (i.e. aaa to major or major to major+, etc) does each player on the team roster “carry forward” that new rating? And does that new rating remain steadfast even if the player moves up in age division? And lastly, if “the team” moves up in age level, do they too retain the new rating classification? Thanks.

See everyone in LV, stay safe, and good luck to everyone.

Thanks D˛. While I grasp the concept, what determines a "pod"? Number of teams?

More specifically, could the serpentine draft have been used for the 55 major @ the Worlds?

D˛ - First time seeing the mention of a "serpentine draft". Intriguing.

How often is it used? And "what" determines "when" it is used?
