In 2022 looking to move near Carson City Nevada.
Need to join a Senior Softball leagues.
I will be working on Switch hitting. Play Pitcher, 1st base, second.
Looking for tournament teams hopefully out of Reno, Carson City areas. Sacramento is only a couple hours away so that could work.
I’m a 600 plus hitter can get better with some work. 6’2” so first base is a good position for me.
I’m turning 70 and have pitched last 15 years here in A, but mostly B league. I have many different pitches.
Want to play in AA to AAA 65+ Brackets that is where I played at Huntsman Utah.

I have now been to St. George Utah Twice, 2018 and 2019.
In 2018 I played 65+ AA we won Gold, Canadian team.
In 2019 I played 65+ AAA we won Gold, California team.
Both experiences were Awesome.
I just put my name in and hit jackpot.
My city has no Senior league and nothing close by.
We have no batting cages, closed years ago.
I will search for a Senior bat to purchase...if you have a suggestion please respond.

Discussion: Need Team for Huntsman Utah

I played in October 2018 Huntsman with a Canadian Team Brantford Nissan. We won Gold in Red AA bracket. In June 2019 I will play in Albuquerque NM Nationals.
I can play 1st, 2nd (will play 2nd in NM), Pitch, possibly outfield.
I just started back in a gym for 2 months now. Had surgeries years ago and was ready to build strength.
I am 6’ 2”, throw right bat right.
I can hit to all fields.
I hit .619 last October, I plan on getting better, stronger.
I have played baseball since age 8, and softball since military.
I played outfield in high school and was moved by coach to catcher trying to get signed.
I know how difficult it is to commit tp players you don’t know, I did manage for a short time.
I can forward my results from Nationals through mgr I will play with from N.J.
I live in southern CA.
I have been playing in an open B league because we do not have senior league here.

Are there more than one senior league in San FernandoValley CA...?
Simi Valley, or Thousand Oaks or off HWY 126.....?
Any of these leagues play in mornings or early afternoons?
I do not wish to drive in work traffic coming home.

Discussion: Clarification

Valencia is a name that the incorporation 36 years ago by now City of Santa Clarita CA continued to use. Same area.
We do not have a senior league here they are all Open.
I’m 67, 6’2” bat right throw right would like to play 1st base.
I do not have my own senior bat. I used theirs all were 27 Oz or less. I prefer a 28. If anyone can direct me to a really good balanced regular handle bat not expensive that would be much appreciated.
I had a Fantastic time in Utah. Great team and very good competition.
I will travel once a week for a league day M-F if close enough.
I have no idea when tournaments are so you have have to educate me.

Discussion: Looking to hone my skills age 65+

I just returned from Mesquite Nevada, and ended at the Huntsman Games in St George Utah. I played with Brantford-Nissan Canadian Team in the 65+ AA bracket, we came in second in Mesquite to a New York AAA . In Utah we went undefeated. How Cool is that for my first Rodeo? This was my first ever senior league play. Santa Clarita CA does not have senior leagues so I played just on Sunday morning B-Open league. I play fist base could play second with some practice am now pitching but wish to not pitch anymore...it’s just too dangerous. I had to use their bats but still managed to hit fairly well over 700 not sure if that is good or not.
I go by Larry and am 6’2” so 1st is a natural position. I’m right hand throw and hit.
Boy am I sore. We ended up playing 12 games lost two to New York. But actually were ahead in championship game in Mesquite but errors gave it away.
I had no idea that Seniors my age could play at such a high level. The intensity of our games was unreal. I wish to hook up would prefer to keep driving to minimal distances and will definitely get my own bat so any suggestions on where I can get a good deal will be listened to.
I have no idea where a good league near me is so I can play during week.
I am open to any and all suggestions.
Thank you
