Fred
I agree with you on two points. I however don't feel this is a site geared to just the elite group of softball players. sure a majority play travel ball, but a good portion play in tourneys and also rec ball leagues & seniors. The focus of this site in the beginning I think was a forum for Senior ball players to sharing thought on the game, clairification of Senior rules, along with connecting teams to tournaments & players looking for team. The off shoot of this it also creates connection with other ball player from around the country & what goes on in the game in their local areas.
Until i started playing senior ball I was like webbie i didn't care about my opponents or connections, but as we get older our prospectives change. I met several indidivuals on this site and have a face to go with the name. Its nice seeing them at tournaments and talking & having a beer. Winning is great, repecting the game & fellow players is paramount.

Great question Taits.
Happy New Year to you and the family along with All the other ballplayers in Senior softball.
For me I will check in on the website read a few threads and see that the same individuals are spewing the same garbage, trying to be the big dog on the block, or feeling the need to be the internet guru.

I've found a few other softball sites that are more to my liking where info is shared, discussed and it is ok to disagree without having to deal with internet bullys or self determined softball experts. Don't get me wrong there are a lot of knowledgable players here discussing real issues. It's the butheads that cause other to move on. jmo

Everyone except gary. I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season. Gary I wish you the same but you don't trust others & would consider it a effort provided by technology.
I now remember why I don't post here that much any more. There is always one that puts a wrench in the machine to foul it up.

Gary put the pipe down go outside get some air.
Let go of the bitter hostility and move on...ijs

Discussion: SSUSA Cal Cup & Yuba City AWARDS

Communication creates greater understanding. I want to thank Barb from the main office for calling me and giving me the info requested on the Cal Cup. Also explaining Yuba City Director was to be contacted for awards for that event.

Discussion: Feedback of the Cal Cup in Fresno.

Taits
Besides the field being out in nowhere, they were maintained each game the ground crews watered and marked field we played. Even on the fields games played back to back in championship rounds this was continued. The outfield need some minor work, but all in all the field were alright. I wouldn't mind going back to play next year as it one of the few tourneys I don't have to travel 2 hours+ to play. But I do think to get a greater number of teams participating, it might be best to alternate north and south at various location each year so that players get a broad view of a variety of softball venues In the state, not just a certain few. Most importantly this would help divison to remain formulated for ages & bracket with no or very limited mixing of level of play.Jmho
