Discussion: Buzzard shame

Team that Bill Gateley from Rip It plays on. I do not think it is a company team, just by name only.
I think they are changing to the name to 'just-walk-um'

Discussion: Buzzard shame

Buzzard are a tournament team playing in rec league for pactice. I am sure there are many teams like this accross the nation. They come in and beat up on us 'rec' players for kicks. In this case they face to face someone with more skill that will put them back in their place, so they walked him, everytime mind you. Last season tournament they pitched to him and he parked every one of them.
So I agree with Fred and the others, chill out on the field, enjoy the time and just watch in fun. Besides, I walked over to watch Billy park one over the 310 mark and saw him walk. AS my grandson say's, Buzzards, take a chill pill.

Discussion: Why some balls are great and some.....

For all you ball experts. In one league we use the Trump ball and love it, another the Decker ball and love it. Then in another we use the Pro Nine ball and hate it. All are the ASA verison. But the Pro Nine ball is like a rolled up pair of socks and the Trump and Decker are hard.
So why is that and what are some brands to stay away from.

Your team cannot pitch, he can hit, get over it already....let's find something to talk about before Bill starts thinking he is a greek god....

I am sure he will not play there again. For a guy that can hit 340ft, playing on 250 fields must be a joke.

I noticed that when I come up, the outfielders all lay down and take a nap....

We argee with the post that great hitters should be able to swing away. What started this post is a guy we have here in Az that does not even play tournament ball, so he is not just taking BP. He just wants to play a little senior ball with friends and because he is just a powerful hitter he gets walked. We are talking about simple league play here and as stated above I think it is not fair to not let him hit.
The other team just needs to work on something else. Knowing Bill, maybe they should just put the left fielder 30ft behind the fence.

I agree with you guys to not walk him. I also have concerns about high level players hanging out in lower level games.
In this case, I know this guy and he does not even play tournament ball, never hits up the middle. In fact we can say that 80% of his hits simply go over the left field fence.
I have played against him in Chandler senior and a few other east valley games and we do not walk him, just have to get the guys in front of him out to keep the HR to a solo or maybe a pop fly I think it adds a postive aspect to the gme and sure there are guys like this in almost every league. (note that I think this guy might be the best hitter I have ever seen) and we just need to adapt.
So you just go Billy boy....we'll pitch to you.....

Discussion: Small knuckle line up ??

Gary;
You are right about the knocking knickles, according to Bill G. seting up the small knuckles creates more bat speed thought the ball. I have been using this grip and it has made a big difference for the better.

what's the deal with rolled bats. Does it work and more important will it void the warrenty ??
Is it altering the bat or even cheating.

What is the differance between the 1.20 for a USSA-NSA bat and the 1.20 on the U2 ???
What is the 1.20 that Rip It needs on the Senior Elite ???

Discussion: Ulta II replacement?

I am shocked, here I am a Rip It guy and have not even heard of this new Reeper bat. Hey, homerun Bill, what gives ??
We know the senior ASA bat is the best in it's class but I would like to see this new one.
Rip It - will Bill have this bat to test and maybe at his next clinic, if so, when and where.

Love the stuff. The compression is key for us old fat guys, keeps the 'man boobs' on place, makes me look 20 years younger and keeps me dry.

Discussion: OG Freak out - Rip It in - how ??

As my grand DD says, chill out and don't worry about it. Sell your freaks while you can and stick to the Rip It. You are not alone, here in Az there are a ton of these senior black bats just in the east valley and I see more each week. It's a great bat and a better company and I did not get a free bat to say that. I happen to like Bill G, nice guy and one hell of a hitter (can't field for love or money and no arm).
So don't freak out (ha) and just Rip It.
