Proof reading my post, I stated "This bat is the hottest bat that I have ever hit & it still had the wrapper on it".

I meant to state "This bat is the hottest BRAND NEW IN THE WRAPPER BAT, that I have ever hit.

It may not be as Hott as the Original Gray Ultra, but I bet it will be pretty darn close.

Sorry for the confusion. It is a Great bat right now, I can't wait to get more swings on it. It will be the Hottest Bat on the Market & be legal to use.

What a fine upstanding citizen this guy has turned out to be. I'm sure glad that my friends were smart enough not to invest any money with God's Sports Company.

Discussion: LASIK, bifocals & contacts question

Tim,
I do wear contacts & they rarely if ever present a problem. Every now & then, under windy & dusty conditions, I'll wear sun glasses to protect my eyes. I find myself squinting in very windy conditions & wearing sunglasses negates the squinting. That is probably once in every 100 at bats. And even then, it's only when batting. I have never had to wear sunglasses for defense, because of wind or dust.
I do normally wear mono-vision lenses (one eye to see up close & one to see far away). I change out the lens to see up close with a normal lens to see far away. You need to wear both lenses to see far away. I have, not by plan, had to play a few games wearing mono-vision lenses & it just doesn't work. No Depth Perception. It doesn't effect my hitting, but it greatly effects fielding. Being a pitcher & playing infield you need depth perception.
How did you like hitting that mush ball on Saturday? Senior bats don't work real well with a 52/300 ball.
If you want to discuss wearing mono-vision lenses, feel free to call me.

Discussion: With Sadness Softball Has Lost AC Linde

AC was the very first senior pitcher that I ever hit against in a senior tournament. I can still remember him strutting around the pitching rubber with his sleves cut off of his jersey, just like it was yesterday. That is coming up on 15 years ago in Davis. My masters team was asked to come play to give "the old guys" some competition.

I can't remember who won that game, but I can still remember AC. That is the impression he leaves you with.

We will miss you.......

Tim is so right. A few years back, we hit batting practice in Fairfield, I brought 2 Easton Tiphoon, 28 & 30oz, to compare to the Ultra II, Miken Freak, Worth Wicked & a Worth PST. All of the bats out performed the Easton Titanium. But, we were hitting 44/375 balls. When the Titanium bats first came out, we were hitting Red Dots. At the time, the Titanium bat & Red Dots were King. I have never hit the ball further than I did with that combination. Not even with the Original Gray Miken Ultra.

Discussion: REEBOK MELE DURABILITY

Kennard, you are just an animal. The first 2 Reebok's I got also broke in less than 15 swings each. When I say broke, they were each broken in 3 or more places. The replacements & others that I have purchased are awesome. I used one bat in Rock'n'Reno. It never broke & I did hit my fair share of homeruns with it. To say it was cold, was an understatement. It hailed & snowed in one of the games. The temps were in the 30's, I do use a Pyroflite Microwaveable bat warmer. I won't hit any other senior bat...... I already broke 3 Combats earlier this year & gave up on new Mikens 2 years ago.

Discussion: REEBOK MELE DURABILITY

I got a couple of real early production 26bal Reeboks that both broke in less than 15 swings each. Surf88 took care of them for me. I got a replacement 26bal now that I can't even crack the paint on & it is hotter that h***. I can swing senior bats on my Tues & Thursday leagues. & play tournaments on the weekends. I will buy no other bat. Like Monts39, I never swing them in BP. I haven't been this happy with a senior bat sine the Original Ultra II's came out. I sure hope that Miken hears this & takes heed. There's a new sheriff in town, named REEBOK...........

Discussion: Has Anyone Else Had Problems With The Reebok ME'LEE Legend Senior Softball Bat Because Mine Cracked After 45 Hits Any Durability Problems?

WOW...What a surprise!!
Within an hour, I got a response from surf88, (Ed Andrews). He let me know that Reebok, is taking care of the bats that break prematurely, on a case by case scenario. I shipped off my broken 26oz balanced Melee back to the Bat Return Department of Reebok International. Ed is going to hand deliver a new Melee to me in Mesquite, in a week and a half at the SSUSA Spring Nationals!! Having played ball for the last 30 years, I have never received this kind of Customer Care from any of the other bat manufacturers. I have broken 1 other brand new bat (not going to mention who, (MIKEN)), within 25 swings & was told that I was out of luck. Surf88 has gone out of his way to make it right & I didn't even buy it through him. My faith in mankind has been reaffirmed.

Thank You Very Much Ed - surf 88

I just received a 26oz balanced & broke it in 3 places, with the wrapper still on it in less than 15 swings. Bat was warmed up in a Pyroflite Bat warmer. The balls were stored indoors & warm. It was 65+ degrees out. To say I was disapointed is an understatement. If anyone cares to contact me, I can be reached at mark00asa@aol.com
