While the break-up i sone thing, I will say I also played in the Bullhead tournament and the umpires were some of the worst I have yet to come across. But, alot of what LVSSA was doing was trying to make the games more fun and interesting. I loved the designated HR hitter! In senior softball with senior bats you can accidentally hit the ball 301 feet, and sometimes scold a line drive that never gets over 20 feet off the ground over the fence, this rule helps keep that hit in play. I love what they are trying to do, and while the umpires were bad I look for that to be better at their next event!

I have both, and I am now selling all my 2020 Melees. The 2021 just feel better in my hands and when the ball is coming off of them, and as an added bonus they are much more durable.

The trail running shoes is a great suggestion, I have a pair of Salomon's I wear occasionally that have a more aggressive tread pattern than standard turf shoes and they are also very comfortable.

New Balance turf shoes come in wide and are the most comfortable shoes I own!

Discussion: Altered bat

If you need to roll or shave a senior bat, you bought the wrong bat or you should not be hitting bombs anyway because you are not a homerun hitter.

Don't be lazy, take the time to break in a bat the old fashion way, use it!

Thanks Double Dee. I am not a fan of one piece bats, they usually are too stiff me me, but was thinking of trying one of these as I heard it was a good cold weather bat.

I heard the same about it being just repainted Integrity as well. Anyone out there that has actually hit the bat with input?

Thanks!

I think Senior Softball Bat Reviews posted a review on YouTube. I did not watch it but I did see it posted there yesterday.

anyone have experience with the Pure Fast Eddy? Heard it was super hot right out of the wrapper and it is a good cold weather bat. Any of this true?

Thanks

We have enough people wanting to play, just did not want to enter only to have it cancelled. Guess we will wait until closer to the deadline and if it sounds like it will go forward we will send it in!

Thanks Diesel, I was just wondering if anyone had some inside information to help make the decision on whether we should push to play or not.

Discussion: St George December Tournament I am ready to play

The city recently cancelled all events and tournaments and released the following "David Cordero, communications and marketing director for St. George, said any event that's likely to have more than 500 participants or draw mostly non-local participants will be canceled."

wonder if anyone who lives in that area has any insight into whether that is only through the end of November or if they intend to extend into December?

I have never been a part of an organization that insults and ignores their customers as much as SSUSA. But that is what a monopoly does for you, just remember nothing lasts forever.

Ageain Dave, read the message. I would have renewed if I could do it online. I cannot make personal calls during my work hours, not allowed. So, how about you pay attention to the people who pay your salary, the customers, and get the site up to 2010 standards.

Dave, as discussed, and this is really simple and respectful, not everyone can make personal phone calls from work, but can access the internet. So unless you expand your hours or get the form online a lot of people will not be able to renew. But if you want to drive business away that is SSUSA's right.

I usually support SSUSA on items because when you run tournaments you can never make everyone happy. That being said. with a 4 hour window to call and with the requirement to renew before playing in a 2021event it is not a molehill. Some people can get online all day but not make any calls during this time, yes Dave some people's job's are that intense that they cannot make calls, or their work has rules against it. So how about SSUSA stops blaming the CUSTOMER, because while SSUSA does not treat us as such, we are the customer and pay the bills there, and take the time to step into the modern era and update the site to allow 2021 registration. If your tech guys cannot accomplish this maybe it is time to find new tech guys, it really is a very simple function.

This is 2020 isn't it? Why can't we renew online? Instead of it taking 2 minutes, I now have to find time during my workday to call when there is some one in the office, not an easy task to accomplish.
