| March 10, 2021 UMP AR | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: LVSSA I umpired in this tournament. I am proud of what I did and received numerous compliments. I arrived early daily,was in "uniform" and adhered to the playing rules as explained. I am only speaking from my personal umpire experience and have no comment regarding the original post in this chain....by the way I would umpire for them again. |

In my opinion, if the runner reaches the base and declared safe and the contact occurred after the "safe" call with incidental contact...if I determine the the runner had ill intent by contacting the fielder, the runner is then out because of his action...I would consider it unsportsmanship activity. |

As previously stated ordinary effort of a 40 year old is much different than the "ordinary effort" of a 65 five year old. |
