Ah, Yes he is famous for his interviews! Almost forgot about that!

Just ask Doug from Ohio, he knows all about those interviews!!

And I thought his son Dana was a 2nd Basemen not an outfielder?

Morgan-Keegan certainly had an interesting Team. I would say never a dull moment with that Team! They played us tough! I hope to see them again someday down the road though!

Congrats on a nice Win!

Discussion: You Make the call

This happened today in Raleigh, NC at the Eastern Nationals. Play at the plate, the catcher is stretching for the throw similiar to what a first basemen does. As he is stretching his foot/toes area are on the mat, as he continues to stretch for the ball, his toes move the mat back towards the backstop unintentionaly, BUT his toes/foot remain now on the white home plate. With toes on
plate NOW, the ball beats the runner to the outside plate. What's the call SAFE or OUT?

The Umpire ruled the runner SAFE, what's everyone out there think?

Thanks BTW we lost by 5 runs so the play at the plate did'nt really factor into the final outcome of the game.

I thought the Crabtown Classic was well run. There were some minor issues but it happens at times.

Since my team is Major Plus we played against major teams in the DE. There were no other Plus teams there.

We did give the major teams 5 runs and in one game that was the differance so I think that rule works the way it was
designed to.

At least we got a chance to play.

Discussion: Crabtown Classic play in games

My team is one of the Major teams and we play our first game vs a AAA team but the second game is vs a Major team.

I guess they just want to mix it up a little, hey you never know you may come
out of those two games 2-0.

Good Luck in Glen Burnie

Yep, sure would be nice... unless you are a just bumped Major Team, that really has no business competing against Major Plus Teams.. So you spend all that money for a 16th or 17th place finish... But it would be nice!

Looks like some very good 50 Major Teams will be there. Goodman's is a nice squad and a former Major + Team, watch out for them! My darkhorse candidate would be Pat's Pizza!

Ultra II is legal as is the Anaconda Senior Bats, they will probably be using yellow Trump Balls.

Discussion: SSUSA'S 40+ Division Questions!!!???

Just looking for a little help. I play on a 50+ Team and we play alot of SSUSA Tournaments.

A good Friend of mine would like to put a 40+ Team together.

Are there any rules that are different in the 40+ Division?

This Team would play Major Plus, no problem there. But I am curious about
any rule difference's etc.

What he would like to do is play in Phoenix in October.

Thanks for your Comments/Help!

DoublePlay6 is right, the games were rained out on Sunday last year. But to be fair, it rained hard Saturday Night. We were one of the teams that
did not get to play on Sunday.

We decided to play in York, just because it makes more sense for us to go there.

It is the one run by BVSSA It had been a SSUSA qualifier for years but for some reason it is not this year.
It just makes more sense for us to go to York financially.

Wish we could play in both, but that won't happen!

Looks like we will be headed to York, PA instead, unfortunately those 2 Tournaments are the same weekend and due to financial concerns it's cheaper for us to just go to York.

I was told that York has approx Ten 50+ teams.

My Hobby, other than softball is collecting Philadelphia Eagles stuff.

Let's say there have been 3,000 players
who at one time or another have signed a contract with the Eagles. I have about 2,000 of those players autographs.
I am always looking for Phila Eagles autographed stuff. I know it sounds
bizarre but that's what I enjoy doing.

And I know that i probably won't get all of those autograph's but that's my
goal!

I also have an extensive Phila 76'ers
autograph collection.

Finally if you need a certified autograph card of Donovan McNabb, chance's are I have it. I know I have issue's but hey if you have autographed
Phila Eagles stuff, give me a shout!
