Discussion: New Rip It 1.20 senior bat

As Einstein and many others have commented before the yellow Rip It senior bat is the best of the three. It has a soft swing that is easy to control. The pop off the bat is same if not better than the other two. So if the bat has a full warranty and is priced right, along with a 30 day buy back if you don’t like it then I would say it would be the best. It is value and performance that would make it the best.

In the next month or so. With a full warranty and better than the U2 or the Combat.

From what I learned today both Combat and Miken might want to take a look around to see what is in the rear view mirror.

You have to read between the lines here. What he is trying to say but not really say is the yellow Rip It bat may soon be a 1.20 legal senior bat. I also know some about this but cannot speak in detail.

I take it we are to guess the meaning. A new U2 type bat with a warranty. But from whom ?
I would guess who it is not. Made in the USA rules out Combat or Rip It. Worth or Easton. I think only Miken has their own factory. All the ‘off’ brands use CE so we can rule them out.
I would have to say Miken as well but not sure.

Sounds like Miken is making a new bat for seniors.

All but Miken I think. I am not 100%. Rip It and Combat are made in Canada. I think Combat is a Canada company and Rip It is here in the states.

Discussion: Why do Seniors have to Cheat

I know that things like this don't happen in Az. LOL LOL

Come to think of it, I have been playing in Az for many years now and have never seen a altered bat. Seen a few trying to use U2 or other banned bats but not because they set out to cheat but they did not know the bat rules. We have a great group of guys here and I look forward each fall and winter to spending time on the field.

The Conabt senior bat is on the banned ASA list.

Maybe you can print out the pictures for the next tournament.

Discussion: Reaper bat ?

I agree with assessment on comparing apples to apples. In your comments the Arizona connection was made. Main reason is the VP of Rip It lives and plays there. Over the years he has build many relationships with senior players and is very well liked. Not all use Rip It bats or may even care to. Many hold loyalty to Miken, Worth or other companies which is a good thing for customer brand loyalty is a major part of success in sales.
I believe that over time the market will balance out as Rip It finds there part of the business pie. Overall it has been a positive aspect to the bat market to have some competitive play in the bat field.
I would like to see Rip It get more involved in SSUSA as a sponsor or just be part of the group as Miken and others have done. Many of us that know Bill think there is something in the air and that a big change is about to happen. I cannot see this company just sitting back in the senior market. Cannot tell what it is nor has BG said what it might be but as said in West Side Story – “somtin’ed coming, somtin’ed good”

What are the best fields you have played on for a local rec league.
No BLD or fancy city parks but just the commiunty fields maintained by hardworking seniors in the area.

I think there is a new bat on the way. From what I have heard it might be just what the doctor ordered.

I understand and sorry if I came across the wrong way. I think many seniors are starting to like the company and the bats. I can respect your opinion and advice. We should not get too carried away with any product or brand. Thanks for posting and look forward to what you have to say.

The post is about the Reaper not the senior ASA bat. Sounds to me like your stock in another bat company is down and you are trying to sink the Rip It ship before it sails. Sorry to say you are too late. It you have an issue you should call the company and not try to blast them on this board

Discussion: padded batting glove ?

I bruised my hand playing catch with my grandson. Now when I hold the bat it hurts. Are they any batting gloves with padding to cover the palm and fingers. I did look at the palm guard but it is not what I wanted. The lower part of my fingers are very sore.

Discussion: Hey Arizona softball !

Welcome. To start you can join us at Sun Lakes just south of Chandler. We have a great field and a good group of guys. We use ASA bats for league play. Some of the tournaments allow the U2 or Combat senior. They are many parks across the east valley to play. Some are limited to those that live in the community. We play every Tus/Thur at 7:00 am till it cools off. The park is just north of Riggs – west of Dobson.
Hope to see you there.

Discussion: Senior and ASA bat

Since I am not a good hitter or do I know much about bats I can only report on what we as a group think and feel. Our summer in Colorado Springs have almost every new ASA bat available. In terms of Rip It elite, the only model we have is the outlaw yellow bat. Many have the senior ASA bat and we have two of the ASA Reapers. Most of the lower level hitters like me like the senior ASA bat for the feel but everyone love’s the Reaper. They have been hitting the Reaper and then the org Freak and the Reaper is better of the two.

Overall the vote is the Reaper is hands down the best ASA we have ever hit. There are other bats many like as well like the new Worth Mutant and the Easton Stealth. Some bats are easier to swing than the Reaper but do not have the pop. I hope that helps and I am sorry I cannot give you more details about the hitting part. Maybe one of the hitting guru’s on this board can make a comment about the Reaper as well.

God Bless
