Discussion: Top 5 or 10 Senior Bats

Rate the top 5 or 10 senior bats. Give a short reason way you rated them where you did, again keep it short. The bats can be any bat, senior, asa, usssa and Is the bat endloaded or balanced. The rateings need to be from personal experience and not hear say information from a buddy. I'll be useing this info for the purchase of my next bats or bats. Thanks!!

No runner after the 1st pitch to the next batter. If the next batter gets a hit he has to get a runner before the next pitch and all runners ahead of him have to run for themselves.

USSSA, give the pitcher back the strike zone. A decent trip pitcher can make you hit what ever pitch he wants you to 90% of the time, the other 10% are walks. If seniors go to the trip, I'll start pitching again.

Azbatguy, I don't know what you were looking at on softballfans.com!!! There is about 12 different threads w/posts in all of them about the recoil. I don't remember any posts that said it was poor. Most of the posts were very positive, while the others were waiting for the bat to break in, they only had 100 or so hits on them, and would post later after break in is complete.

I guess if its not about rip-it bats you have nothing good to say.

I'll wait and see what happens w/the recoil reviews and decide then. I'll just keep useing my senior combat, or whatever bat works best for my swing. It doesn't matter what brand bat I use just as long it works for me and my swing and gives the results I want and looking for.

DGuy, I tell it like I see it, don't sugar coat anything. If you don't like it to bad. Ya I would love to play someplace else then desert west. Driveing to papgo wouldn't bother me in the least if it means we don't have to play at desert west, and I live at union hills and the arrowhead area.

Dbax, were not playing in vegas remember, were in "PHOENIX". We'll deal w/vegas parks another day. If your talking about lorrenze park I agree. As for chavez never been there, hopefully never will, but have heard some stories!!!!

turn2, there is a bunch of hotels along the I10 on the north side of the road starting at about 75th ave and going west. If you wanna drive alittle further west on I10 there a few of hotels in the avondale area, dysart, and litchfield road area. Dysart road is approx 131st ave and desert west is on 67th ave just north of the freeway(I10), easy drive from the avondale area all freeway.

The key phrase there "one time or another" which means once maybe, maybe twice a year but i'm guessing once a year. I played at desert west over years more times then i really wanted to but thats where the sponser put us in and thats where the tourney was, and now I don't have to thanks to rose moffert and vic lane. When is the last time you heard gun shots at vic lane(never) or papago(never), rose moffert(never) after dark?? I played at those 3 parks most of my career and never heard shots. The only park i've played at that i've heard shots at is desert west and more times then i can count. So don't say it happens at all the parks because it doesn't. Cars getting broken into thats a different story, thats happens at moffert, papago alot but hardly ever at vic lane. I can't remember the last time i heard of a car getting broken into at vic lane. I was at moffert last monday nite and two cars were broken into.

Thanks USSUSA, what did we do to deserve Desert West for the 50AA. I hope were not playing at nite on Fri, or Sat I don't wanna hear the gun shots from the neighborhoods north and south of the park. If we are playing at nite i'll have to bring my bullit proof vest just in case!!!!!

Keep a eye on your cars, morning, noon, and nite, especially nite, and leave everthing of any value at the hotel room or put it out of site in your trunk.

Make sure your life insurance policy is up to date!!!!!!!!

Dump the mat and plate as strikes and put the ball and strike calls back in the hands of the umpires. Lets play true ASA rules and strike zone!!!!!!!

If he's gonna manager a team he should know or at the least have an idea you swinging an altered bat. There's not to many managers you just manage a team, they play themselves, they know!!!!!!!

Coach should be suspended on 1st offense for the rest of the tournament and the next tournament the team is in. Second time, the rest of the tournament and the next 5 tournaments the team is in. Third time 10 years.

Discussion: LET'S REALLY GET STUPID!

You wanna protest a bat it should cost the protester or the team $300.00 to $500.00. If the protest lasts more then 3 minutes during a game, the protesting team forfiets the inning their in, and the team thats getting protested gets an automatic 5 runs for the lost inning. Every 3 minutes past the original 3 minutes the protesting team loses another inning and 5 runs That will take the delay factor out of it. Remember, your innocent till proven guilty!!!!!!!!

Make it a true ASA strike zone, no mat, and the plate is not a strike. It would force the umpires to call a real strike zone. Anybody can call mat and plate ball.
