RIK56, i think that first baseman thing was a shot at me. He must have seen that profile shot of me or us hugging(can you say belly bump) when we won in "08" LOL. I do a lot of running myself and enjoy it, but i could live with the last out being the runner. I think it would bring a little more stratagy back to the game. It might make some of the guys that swing from their heels and don't get it out of the park do more than make a right turn at firstbase and go sit on the bench. LazerLarry

Discussion: How did you get your start in softball?

ChiPrimeMarty, I was at SIUC in 77 & 78 lived in the north most of the towers 7th floor and had a bunch of friend that lived in Lewis Park. Got to love the ice cold beers at Pinch Penny Pub and the girls at Peppermint Lounge. I travel thru there on business every now and then, man has it changed. I had most of my courses at Carterville at the Student Tech College. My roommate was from Chitown his name was Steve something, but claimed his dad did something with Playboy. Might have been hot air. Do you play with the Windy City Boys, if so i might know you. I play with Coors Light, first base and some outfield Lazer Larry

RIK56 are sure you weren't in the brigg when you learned to play. If you hit like crap then you turned that completely around 180* now you hit the crap out of it. I started in intermural league in high school it was fast pitch but we had 2 of the only 3 pitchers in a four team league. All of our guys had to adjust our baseball swings. LazerLarry

stick8, Happy Holidays to you and you family. It's been a rough year, lost my job the end of June and just started back with Ditch Witch Sales where i quit in 2006. Now the Store Mgr. and lone salesman, so things have worked out well. Only played 3 tournaments this past year and played a lot of golf with my time off. We had 4 guys hurt that didn't go to Phoenix besides myself. They went with 11 guys plus the coach. A broken finger, a bad back and a calf muscle put them at 8 and the coach for the last game sat. They said f-it so nobody else got hurt. They played their asses off to get to that point and i wish i could have been there to help where i could. I turn 55 in july and not sure what i'm going to do. The group of 55 guys are moving 90% of that team to 60+. I still have fun on the field, but hate watching homerun derbys. I'll see most of the boys sat. night to kill some Silver Bullets at coaches bar. Take care and maybe i'll see you next year. Lazer Larry

Brett, they probably have it figured out to draw more interest on your money that way. Kind of a joke but probably true. By the way stop sending the crappy weather to St. Louis. Lazer Larry

If you have ever walked by the Coors guys guys in the parking lot, don't walk by stop and tilt one back we are more than happy to offer a brew up the a fellow ball player and BSer. Lazer Larry

Guy's i talked to a PT today and she said it's called something like ideosoris or something like that. It's a muscle that tightens when you sit in a office job or in a car or truck a lot. There's a exercise that you can do to strech it out. Lie on your stomach, legs flat and push straight up with your arms full extension and try to relax your butt muscles, hold that for 10 sec's 5 times. This should help to loosen it up. Holp this helps. I'm not a PT. But, I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night. Lazer Larry

mad dog, i have the same thing. The last tourney i played, it took about 1 1/2 weeks to loosen up and walk right. If i sat for a while and walk it wood really hurt. If you find out what it is let me know. Haven't played for 6 weeks and all feels fine. Doesn't bother me playing golf or drinking beer. Lazer Larry

Butch 17, i wonder if anybody has noticed how nice it is on the board lately. It sure is nice without the mouth from the west on here. 4 months until we can have a beer in the parking lot. Tell Larry the next time we play you guys he's not allowed to pull the ball. I think my collar bone is healed finally, only 2 1/2 years. Lazer Larry
