| Nov. 13, 2025 EdVZ | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Pitching screens for tournament play 2026 As a Pitcher, I am not in favor of nets for the pitchers. I pitch in AAA 50’s, 55’s and 60’s. I move forward and back, left to right, and use the entire pitchers box and a net limits my ability to keep the batter on his toes. With that said, I would be in favor of closing the box. I’m surprised with mandated face protection, that SSUSA hasn’t made an effort to close the pitchers box. When the same guy apologizes to me 3 times in one game, I’m pretty sure it’s not an accident. If you’ve pitched enough, you can tell a mistake from intentional and its amazing how open inning becomes the time when the other pitcher decides to hit middle. |

I’m a pitcher, 1B, OF able to play at the 55 or 60 level. Played at 2024 TOC and we took 2nd.. I am committed to a 50AAA, 55AAA, and 60AAA teams, so it would have to be a one time thing. If we really like each other, we can talk about options for 2025 though. |

| Feb. 1, 2022 EdVZ | Topic: Players looking to join a team Discussion: 59 and feeling fine I'm a 59 year old guy living in Redlands Ca looking for a Sr. team to play with. I have pitched ASA, Amcom, SMAF, and USSSA in league and tournaments since the the late 80's. I can play most infield positions or out field if needed. I prefer to pitch! I typically hit for average have some pop at times. I play men's league and Co-Ed league. I'm new to the Seniors League, but interested in trying it out. |
