Discussion: tournaments for league bats only

What about AA being required to use ASA bats. AAA required to use U-trip bats. And Major & Major Plus use the bats we use now? So if you believe that the game has become a homerun derby. You drop down to level you feel safe playing.

Kevin I'm not trying to take sides here. But it seems to me that you you keep telling us how bad these bats and balls are. Yet you keep selling them. I don't think the .52 core ball will make it any safer out there. I was in Florida this spring. And was asked to hit with these balls. What we found was the ball had to be hit just right to get it fly out. Plus they knuckled thru the infield really bad. And it wasn't just me. We had 8 guys hitting. And it seemed to be a common problem.

Kevin you made s statement about the paid player in MLB. Now are we to believe the players we watched in the border war weren't paid players? Perhaps instead of complaining about these bats and balls that have turned this game into a tennis match. You should take a stand and stop selling these missile launchers of death to us dumb unknowning sheep

I have seen 2 different discussions about this new Veteran Bat. And they both have been removed. Why does this keep happening? I thought this board was to discuss our sport. And the new things being created for the sport.

Ice on the fields! I live Lakeland and I haven't seen ice here since I moved here. Except for in my drinks. I was told the last snow they had was a dusting in 1976. Might be a little cool at night but thats about it.

We took 2nd in Dalton. Then we took 2nd at Winter Natl's in Ft. Myers. And as far as SSUSA responding. No they haven't and I don't expect them to. I can't play Major Plus. Didn't you read what Audie wrote. There isn't any of us in FHC good enough to play up there.

For openers I'm not upset with the Hollis boys or LeMay boys. My problem is with the SSUSA staff for allowing these things to happen. SSUSA still hasn't come on here and explained why they allowed 5 Major+ players from Hollis to play on a Major team.

You make my point by saying that none of us are as good as your Hollis players. I don't understand how it can allowed for you guys to drop down and play at a level well below your talents. And to top it off you blew up are pitcher. He wasn't really hurt other then the can of chew that burst apart. And cut his butt up. Should only be minor brain damage. But my question still hasn't been addressed. Are there no rules in place to keep players from dropping down. I mean other then we called a week before and they said we could. I just hope SSUSA gets alot of entry fees from you guys. Because they won't get anymore from us.

Bruce, I play for Pinehurst Pub. We just got bumped from AAA. And I still don't understand if this legal. The whole point behind the different division is to make it fair for everyone. I'll be playing in the morning at 8am. Stop by and explain it to me. I'm kinda dumb!

We are playing in the Spring Nat'ls in Florida this weekend. Can anyone tell me the rules on picking up Major-Plus players to play in the Major division. We had to play a team Called Lemay Const. a major team. Well they had 6 players from Hollis Apprl. a major-plus team. And 2 of them were the Hollis brothers. Whats the point of having divisions if major-plus players are allowed to play anywhere they want? And not just 1 or 2 over half the team.

Brett you guys sound a little to worried to me. And why wouldn't you want to move up with these stupid homerun rules. We won't be playing ssusa with these stupid rules. We are going in a different direction. And to the powers that be. I was only kidding.

The net we used was only 3' wide and 6' tall. Because at 6'4'' I was looking over it. And I agree that if you can't field the position get out. But our problem is I'm the only one dumb enough to pitch. If we had a pitcher I wouldn't be out there. Plus as we get older our reaction time slows. The 2 that hit me were on me before I had time to move at all. I've seen 2 guys get killed pitching and I hope no one has to witness what I've seen. Call me sissy if want but when someone you've played ball with for 20 years goes down. 30-300 dollars for a net seems pretty cheap.

We played our 1st tournament of the year this weekend. And a funny thing happened on Sunday morning. After watching a pitcher almost lose his head several times. The umpires brought out a net. This was done due to the sun being in the pitcher's face early Sunday morning. Now after watching 3 pitchers get hit Sat. myself included. And hearing that sorry pitch I can't control where it goes crap. I found very interesting to see that after being told any ball hitting the screen was a dead ball out. Well not only did it not mess up the flow of the games. There was never a time when the net got in the way of a play. From the plate out or outfield in. And not once did a ball hit the net. Funny how everybody found bat control today. You so called middle hitters are going to cost everybody the fun of these bats we are allowed to use right now. Or somebody else is going to get killed. Where in the trophy case are you going to put that achievement

Discussion: HITTING THE MIDDLE

I pitch and from where I stand its simple. Put in the Halo rule where if a ball is hit in the 3 foot circle around the pitching rubber. The result is an inning ending out. That would stop alot of the stupid macho I'm gonna blow up your pitcher crap. And all the don't pitch if you can't stop the ball comes from guys standing about 275 ft out in left.
