Discussion: Unfavorable weather conditons......

The 1 and 1 count does speed things up about 8 to 10 minutes a game, not 3 or 4 minutes. Once again ... no one wants to get the games over quicker, the goal is to get more GAME ACTION in the time allotted for each game. The 1 and 1 count would do this.

The young guys are getting older and juiced, shaved and altered bats are here and will be here to stay unless something is done about it.

Discussion: which do your prefer on a 5 game guarantee?

Would like to see the RR games mean more than seeding because you can see a bunch of new guys show up on Saturday for an 0-2 team sometimes. Give the higher seeds the hammer, now you're playing for something and those games are much more important.

Like the 3 day tournaments for the "bigger" and more "destination" places they are held. As for some of the events they are just glorified local tournaments that can easily be played in 2 days.

Discussion: flip flop and one up in league play

A 1 and 1 count will speed up your league play without having to worry about the confusing flip flop.

Discussion: Half Run Rule

There were 24 teams in that Lacey tournament with 15 different age/classification groups. This was just a pre-season event getting some games in but there are just too many different playing groups (and rules) overall.

Discussion: Do we pay to play by the hour??

A 1 and 1 count would shave about 8-10 minutes off of standing around watching batter's take 3-4 pitches and allow us to get that last inning in most of the time.

Discussion: Doeflinger Major Really?

The TOC was a 2015 event regardless that it's played 2 1/2 months later than it should be but that's the only reason they were still rated Major. If they would have participated in the Winter Nationals last November, they would have been Major+. Yes, the two tournaments should be flipped but it's not going to change anytime soon.

The 11th defender would help some too. Not preventing balls up the middle, just not as many going that way.

Discussion: What is your favorite complex you've ever played at?

Steinbrenner, Wallace-Marine Park? Have they improved the fields? Not questioning your opinion, just want to know. Haven't played there in quite some time.

Any BLD. Only played in two, Vegas and Manteca. Makes you feel like a kid again! Agree with ffdonnie that the BLD complexes are getting a bit worn.

Golden Eagle is great too!

I believe the Poollshark is correct. Drops a level but the same rating index.

Discussion: MAJOR PLUS PLAYERS NEEDED

The trouble with allowing Major+ teams to have 2 out of area players are the one's that have the resources and can afford it. Many Major+ teams don't have the funds to do this.

Johnny, will your team travel north this season into Washington?

Discussion: New Rules

DoubleL10, would have rather seen the lower class team have to play by the upper class teams HR rule. At least it's something where it was a huge advantage for the lower teams with the gift runs, HR rule AND a coin toss.

Should be an option for the upper class team though.

Discussion: For 70 and over. 11 players on the field. Like or Dislike

I'd like to see 11 defenders in all the age groups (50 & up). Helps protect the pitcher and moves the game along. Maybe we can get 7 innings in for a change.

They usually get the majority of the "bigger" tournament dates out after the convention so I'm sure we will be seeing something soon.

neck 10, no, the extra fielder does not PREVENT the pitcher from getting hit. The extra fielder may make the batter think about going a different way, that's all I'm saying. Not very complicated...less hits up the middle, less chance of the pitcher getting hit.

curveball, how does a fielder standing up the middle not deter batters from going up the middle? Don't you try to hit the ball where the defenders are not standing?

I don't quite understand your idea that SSUSA should implement the 11th fielder for the younger groups, where it's being used now? It's not being used now, that was my point.

How about an 11th defensive player up the middle (or wherever)to help out the pitcher? It's already done in the 70+. The games would move a bit quicker and possibly allow us to play 7 innings.
