Discussion: BLD ban on composite bats

Heard a rumor that Big League Dreams wants to ban all compoite bats and just allow alloy. From what I heard the shaving problem is out of control.
Has shaving bats been a issue in your leagues or tournaments ?

I think this bat is made by Combat/CE and if true I would stay clear. A close friend of mine works for Schutt that used Combat to make bats and tells of nightmares dealing with those guys. Seems many of the companies that have used them have bolted.

Discussion: Package deals ?

Can anyone tell us where to get a package deal. Thinking a package would be better price than buying each item.

Discussion: Reaper bat ?

Are we talking about Big League Dreams ? If so the Reaper ASA & USSSA are allowed. I have confirmed this with BLD management today by phone.
I also called our Southern California ASA director and she said the Reaper is approved and will not be banned but the yellow senior bat is not allowed. She seem to know the brand very well. The fastpitch bat is becoming very popular in SoCal. My DD plays D1 at UCR so I follow the f/p market close.

In terms of break in period for the Reaper ASA. It only took about 40 hits to reach a nice level of performance.

Discussion: Rip-it USSSA

I am not a fan of any bat companies but starting to feel the need to support the Rip It gang as well. My team reported last week on the Reaper and the other day we got one for our own. This bat is has bought back some of the fun ASA took from the game. I don’t know how or why on bats just that if swings great and hits better. I also follow college softball as do millions of fans across the nation and I am very impressed with what this company is doing and where it seems to be going. My question is where can I buy stock ?
