Topic: Bats
Discussion: Reaper bat ?

I had a chance to use the Reaper last night at the Big Leauge Dreams here in Chino. The other team was from
Chicks Sporting goods and let us use it during the game.
Our team has a mix of young and old with five guys over 55.
On our team we have many bats including the Virus, AV, Freak, Jeff Hull and Easton. This bat put them all in the back seat. I am not an expert here but will share with my senior friends that this bat is on the top of the food chain.
Please do not poin a crooked finger at me for posting this. Just try one and if I am wrong please let me know.

Discussion: Sick of these bats !

So what if a company could or did buy a bat that hit like the U2 but lasted like a normal bat and priced the same. Would we buy it ? Would the company go broke because the bat lasted and we would not have to buy two or three a year. Is this the point that bat companies can make such a bat but will not because of the repeat sales.

Over the past four months I have cracked;

2 U2's
1 Combat senior

that's $600 down the drain.
we can put a man on the moon
have a PC in our phone
spy on people from space

can somebody not make a bat that can hit like the two above and last like a normal bat ???

Discussion: rip it reaper

My son and I play with the Chicks sporting goods team here in Chino Hills. I am using the yellow senior rip it and my son is using the USSSA reaper.
USSSA allows the bat to be 100mph and ASA stops at 98 mph.
We have hit both models and it is hard for me at least to tell them apart.
I can tell you that the whole team is using the reaper by choice. I won't let them use the yellow bat for fear they will crack it. After all they guys are young and big.

Discussion: Big League Dreams allow yellow bat

I played at Big League Dream in Chino Hills the other night and used the Rip It yellow senior bat. They said it is now legal there and the other BLD parks. My question is where else can I use this bat. It really is the best bat I have ever had and would like to know it I can use it in tournaments for senior softball.

Discussion: Hit the new Reaper bat from Rip It

I played with the young guys last night in B league. We did have the Reaper bat size 28. Every player including me used it for both games.
I am shocked the umps let us use it. It seems more like a toned down U2 than anythimg else. I am no bat expert but do not think this thing is or will be ASA approved. It had more pop than my Freak and even more than my USSSA JH Worth. I was impressed and so was the team.
My son was most impressed, he is 6.4" and was a middle LB for Arizona State. For the big strong guys it was great, for me I found it a little hard to swing since it is clearly end loaded and stiff.

Discussion: Hit the new Reaper bat from Rip It

Is this company part of Worth, Easton or someone else. I live in Calif and never heard of them.
I am going to join my son tonight in dity league games. they are short players and I am going to catch. Seems Sean (my son) can get a Reaper to hit tonight.

So can anyone tell anything more about this company ?

I do not think this bat can be any better than Combat or Miken. Never heard of this brand before but my son has. I might have a chance to hit this bat with him (on a visit to see my new grandson). I guess he knows somone that has this bat or can get one, if so I will let you know but don't get your hopes up.So many new bats are just a market BS job to get us to buy another bat, my guess is the Rip It is just that.
