I've been wearing 3n2's for the last 5 or 6 years. Great shoe, especially if you need width.

Check out this web site gsscs.org
This is the site for Sacramento Senior Club. They have 3 night leagues --tues, wed, thurs., and day leagues on mon. and tue.
Their teams have been formed, but you could go on the waiting list, and most teams are short of players.
Their application is on the web site.

Southpaw,
I remember all 15 plus, probably because I'm older than you.
Here's one. I remember waiting at the corner grocery store for the Sunbeam bread delivery man,( I was 7, 8 or 9) because he gave us baseball cards , and we put them in our 50 lb bike spokes so it would sound like a motorcycle. This was in 1947,48. Those baseball cards would probably be worth big money now.

The Baden Fire ball is excellent. We used it last thursday in a double header league I play in Sacramento. It performed better than the ball used in Pleasanton last weekend. Of course, the temperature never got above 70 degrees.

Discussion: No MIKEN ULTRA 2's??

But they allow the Senior Combat, both the original grey and the new yellow/white. I wonder about their(BLD/FOD) reasons?? Sounds like to me they don't like Miken Corp.

Discussion: Is THE ball or... having enough balls.

Whoa Joe, I'm not over 70. I'm just 70. Don't rush me. I play with the S.F. Seals, a 70 major + team, and Kevin, you would be surprised at the bat speed of some of these 70 year olds.
Having played baseball all my life, and coached it at the high school level, I understand bat speed.

It seems to me, even in Nor Cal(NCSSA assn.), the ball is getting CLOSER to an ASA ball. The Turlock tourn as an example.
We use an ASA ball at the Sacto Complex, that is, Sacramento Seniors Org. The only difference in Turlock was we did not have to use ASA bats.

The correct address is ncssa.info.
That will give you the complete list of Northern Cal tournaments. There is at least 1 every weekend.

Discussion: Sacramento Area Day League?

Bob, here is some more info on leagues in the Sacto area.
The web address that softballer gave you will give you all the info you need for the Sacto club. It has a application that you can print and send in. There are 2 day league on tuesday, 9:00am and 10:30. These are 60 and over leagues. There are 3 night leagues, tue, wed, thur, that are unlimited in age.
South Placer has 2 senior leagues, 60+ and 50+. The 60+ starts at 5:30 followed by the 50+.
There also is an independent league called The Sierra League. This is a 60+ league that has 30 teams in it from Fairfield to Penn Valley and Yuba City to Sacramento, with most of the teams in the Sacto area. The 30 teams are divided into 3 divisions.
If you want more info send me an email with your phone# and I'll call you.
