Discussion: Cost of new cards

I don't comment very often but, it's a very interesting response SSUSA Staff. Just pulled out my card which expires this year and I need to renew. However, it doesn't state that it expires after the concluded tournament season! It states that it expires 12/31/2014. So, which is it? Your explanation or what is written in black and white (actually it's red ink) at the bottom of my card? My interpretation would be that I can play in any tournament prior to 12/31/2014, even if you say it's a 2015 tournament, with the card I have. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks Dave. I was only interested in 60's. Didn't think to look at a different age bracket.

You two just can't help yourselves, can you? Despite all the warnings you continue this fued. Einstein, it doesn't matter what I think about you and gary c being cut from the same cloth or not. Gary C, I don't get offended easily. I am just fed up with the inane bantor that has gone on for too long! Hijacking every thread! Spewing your nonsense back and forth! Enough is enough!!! I'd be willing to bet that neither of you will be able to resist taking a dig at the other thereby resulting in both of you being suspended! At least then the rest of us might be able to have a decent discussion that actually is relevant to Senior Softball.

Come on SSUSA staff, it's time that you pull the plug on einstein and gary c. Day after day they continue this fued, if you can call it that. They have been warned on numerous occasions about their behavior and yet they choose to ignore the warnings.

Here is a direct quote from one of einstein's posts

"SSUSA has a responsibility to all of us to enforce it's standard for disparaging conduct/behavior."

Please do all of us that are willing to follow the rules a big favor and have "Dandy Don" sing his favorite song.

SSUSA Staff, I agree totally with your description! I rarely post, but had to let you know that there is a player (unlike Joe I can only speak for myself) out here that is realy tired of the back and forth stuff that seems to ruin every thread! In my opinion, and I only have one vote, you would be doing everyone that likes to communicate via this site a hugh favor by "turning out the lights", as you put it, as soon as possible.

OBP definition:

On Base Percentage is calculated by adding hits, walks, and hit by pitches and dividing by the sum of at bats, walks, hit by pitches, and sacrifice flies:

OBP = (H+BB+HBP)/(AB+BB+HBP+SF)

An error is not a hit therefore 0/1.
A botched double play/fielders choice is not a hit therefore 0/1.

I see so many managers make the same mistake you are making. This guys OBP was 2/4 = .500.

That searching thing is what was happening to me. The next time I tried, it worked so I guess it was a timing thing.

Got it updated. If you actually did something then thanks. If it was a timing issue....

I used to play with Wilson 50's. Why aren't you practicing at Tahoe any more ? Maidu is toooo far to go for a practice. Anyone I might know on the 55 team ?

Just looked at the list of qualifiers for the this years TOCand I see that a decision has been made. We did in fact get the invitation for the 50's AAA birth.

I know it's not the fault of the Major team that they got put into our division in Reno. I know a lot of the guys on the team very well. Played against them for the last 5 or 6 years. They are a bunch of good guys. We played them this last weekend and got a little lucky and beat them. My beef is more with the associations. I would just like to hear from them about the TOC invitation.

Discussion: Teams Playing Down

I play on the 50AAA team that lost to this Major team in the finals. We worked our way thru the losers braket and beat each team that was sent to the losers braket by these guys. By the time we got to the finals we were pretty much out of gas. We (as a team) think we deserve the AAA invitation to the TOC. As of this time, we havn't heard if we will get the invitation or that there just won't be a AAA representative team from this tournament at the TOC's.
