Discussion: end caps for combats

I want to give trumpball ( kevin ) and naomi @ Anaconda sports props. I had one of my MM senior bat's end cap come loose and they took care of the issue in a timely manor.

PP; I also have one of the Rage bags, the only complaint I have is if you use the two outside bat holders alot they will develop holes due to travel, otherwise I like the bag alot.

Paco13; Is it the yellow senior model ? If so I contacted kevin @ Anaconda Sports and had it sent in for repair, I also understand that the new models are not supposed to have this problem.

good luck

This was my 4th. year, I go because of the area, weather and field conditions. It is a very well run tournament. Normally the tournament is over by thu or friday morning. I also agree that they drug it out way to much and we all know why, to keep teams in town and spend money.

As far as to many divisions-- if you award prizes, in this case medals to alot of teams and instill a sense of winning players will want to come back IMO

All right kids play nice,

Barry; most of the weights i've seen are 26 to 28 for the originals which swing light. Most of the newer end loads i've seen were about the same.

just recieved mine and Kevin told me that the 2010 models have a different end cap to help prevent the issue. He also stated that if a cap does come out just send it back to him and he'll repair it.

barry; the weights of the U2's are basically all the same, its the lenghth of the metal rod in the handel that determines its final weight. You are asking about the originals not the newer end loads right ?

Discussion: Balls in Manteca tourney this weekend

As a member of one of the 1st. two teams who did not want to play the fields were worst than discribed. The outfields were almost under water and there was a large sloping drain in center field @ about 200' and the rest of the outfield was very uneven as well. The infield cut out was just behind the bases ( girls softball ) and there was a very large unkept lip between the infield and outfield. Besides the weeds on the infield there were grooves and ruts as well but there was a bathroom -- a portable about 75 yards away and whos last maintance had to have been sometime last year.

Besides the unplayable conditions what got me was disregard for us as players and planning for our part of the tournament. The directors knew weeks in advance how many teams were in this tourney and to put us there was insulting.

Monta: are you talking about the 55's or the 50's. The 50's have been Major for the year.

According to the flyer for the BLD in Manteca CA., only the U2 is banned. I recall using the grey combats last time. I then would assume that the 510 would be OK as well.
