Two players needed for AAA 60's team in St. Louis Metro area. Two infielders, with one of them who can also pitch. Contact me at sanpal@charter.net

Discussion: Rating issue

I am and have been the manager of the US Pallet 60's team for over 5 years. I was surprised to see our team name listed in your discussion. We have always been rated as a AAA team since I have managed it. We do not have a 65 AAA team or any other team in the 65 division. Some of our past players are now playing with Budweiser 65's, but again we have never pariciipated in any tournaments as a 65 team. Just wanted to clear that up.

Discussion: Ft. Myers Tournament..player social

Hey Guys/Gals: In the past there has always been a social after the managers meeting. Does anyone know if they still plan on having it, as in the past???

Thanks,
Harri

Hey donnie,
Have the same need. I have spoken with and e-mailed Fran many times. She promised to have it on the SS-USA home page over a week ago. Still haven't seen it yet!
Last year we booked a motel further north because we had been playing in Cape Coral. Wouldn't you know it...they moved our field to Naples, resulting in a 45 minute drive.

Good luck!

Discussion: ISA Worlds

I agree that the ISA Tournament in Bridgeton Missouri was a great location and look forward to future tournaments there. I don't agree with the way Jerry Jackson handled the tournament and have several complaints. First, there was a local 50's team who had there first game scheduled at 4:30 p.m. The first time they heard that the game was rescheduled for 3:00 p.m. was at the Thursday meeting. Since most of their players work, they were not sure they could be there for the new game time. Wouldn't it had been better for Jerry to call at the first opportunity and discuss this with the manager, instead of saying, basically, thats tuff...you play at 3.
I also was very unhappy that a team in our 60's division basically "blackmailed" Jerry into letting them enter as a "AA" when they have won some major tournaments and reportedly had 3 major players on the roster. They have been classified as a "AAA" team since 2004.
Again...a great tournament, a great location, but it was wrong for the other two "AAA" teams to have to give them 5 runs each game. Worse...how could that team lower themselves in taking this action!
