| May 4, 2013 VINNY LV | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Glasses lost at Arroy Grande Complex in Vegas hey guys I remember a gentleman looking for a pair of silver rimmed glasses at Arroyo Grande Complex when the 65 & 70 teams were in town last week. I found a pair with a black case that says Costco on case.. If anyone sees this and knows the gentleman that lost them please have him call me at 412 303 5905 Vinny.. Hope these are his or if anybody else they may belong to .. I can text a pic of them to anyone they may belong to.. I know the feeling cause I have a bad habit of losing all kinds of things.. I will mail them if an owner contacts me.. |

| March 24, 2013 VINNY LV | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Mesquite Tourn. and passing of a player Wanted to thank SSUSA staff for a great tournament this week.. Got to umpire 21 games this week ans saw some pretty good play.. On a sad note, Rudy (sorry don't know last name)from SoCal 55's passed away from a heart attack on the field.. Umped 2 of their games this morning (Sun.)and the guys were playing with a heavy heart for their fallen team mate.. They was playing Top Gun for the Championship when I left.. To commemorate Rudy in this game they placed his glove on the right field foul line... Hope yinz guys pulled it off.. Sincere sympathy to Rudy's family.... |
| March 15, 2013 VINNY LV | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: Force play Stick I hear ya on the spring training..Det-Philly game batter got 5 balls and Leyland said something to ump but he said it was 2-2 when it was 3-2 count.. 2 balls later batter walked and Leyland never questioned it again..announcers went to the truck and said ump was correct but with technology of today I rewound and ump gave 5 balls.. On another note: ump behind plate in DR-USA game thurs. nite was horrible.. Hope he's not a MLB ump ????? |

Double 10, ump made correct call on your catch.. no where does it say you can't catch ball with your bare hand.. on a tag runner must be tagged with ball, whether in the glove or in bare hand.. Stick, I can't believe the manager didn't argue the call.. (or did he).. I'm sure that would have been over turned after discussion with other umps if help was asked for... |

| Feb. 16, 2013 VINNY LV | Topic: Bats Discussion: What's legal Naked, I did the same thing with Combat 52cal... I called company and complained that the bat is not a senior bat( per SSUSA stamp).. Was gonna send back but I figured for $100 I'd try it... Boy am I glad I kept it... Not as hot as a senior bat but I like it .. since I've been swinging it about 5 other guys here in Vegas have bought one... The company doesn't advertise it as a senior bat anymore but believe me it's good enough to swing for the price.. Down2earthsports.com under cloeouts is where you'l find it.. ask for Brad and tell him Vinny told ya to call... |

They are light weight and very comfortable.. I've seen alot of the young guys wearing them too and they're way faster than us !!!!! |

They're both in ASA HOF. They still talk about the HR's that Paul used to hit up onto Greenfield Ave. That was with wood bats , not metal or composite.. And the things Louie did on the mound are of lore.. |
