Jan. 7, 2004 biggflyy | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: DOCTORED BATS linde-You will see me sending missiles through the mound using an illegal Ultra I painted to look like an Ultra II. As the road runner would say, "beep-beep" when that ball whistles by the pitchers head! Also, biggflyy may not be the sharpest tack in the box, but he ain't retorted like you think he is. See ya in the summer!! |
Jan. 3, 2004 biggflyy | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: DOCTORED BATS In this day and age it is all about gaining an edge. Juiced bats, steroids, sandbagging is just a few ways of achieving that edge. When you approach middle-age and are losing your physical attributes do what you have to do to stay competitive. In fact, with juiced bats and juiced players there could be more teams playing in major or super major instead of the lower divisions having the vast majority of the teams. Get with the new millineum and take advantage of what science and technology can offer. Besides, chicks dig the long ball!! |
Dec. 1, 2003 biggflyy | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: Las Vegas Winter Nationals There's no crying in slowpitch softball! The Jackson team did not sneak under an assumed name. The tournament (AA) was weak as a whole and the Jackson team only overwhelemed one team in the tournament. Most of the players on that team are close to 60 and their IQ's are even less. Basically the tournament was won by older versions of the "Rainman". |
Oct. 27, 2003 biggflyy | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: Mobile Senior Softball Championships Was very disappointed in the condition of all the fields in Mobile. You could have put up a net in the infields and held a beach volleyball tournament. Also, some of the fields had fences of 275' and less. A number of teams indicated they will not be back and will look to play elsewhere. There are a number of complexes in S.C, Fla. and Ga. that have fields that would be worthy of holding a Seniors World Championships in the fall. |
