Dec. 21, 2008 b blake | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: A FEW QUESTIONS for SS-USA. T HI-J about bat weight ,my friend larry and i do hitting clinics and in three years i have not seen a single player that used a 26oz bat. i think the player has more to do with the bat speed and thus the speed of the ball coming off the bat, i have used a 26oz bat for all of my softball days(worth 510 i think it a great bat by the way) as far as altered bats i know a lot of players both senior and young who use them, i dont agree with the use of altered bat, a lot of players think that altered bats are being used , so they use them to level the playing field so to speak. what can we do about altered bats i dont know what the answer is,and as for senior softball rules i guess we just have to live with them |

April 28, 2008 b blake | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: SPA TOURNAMENTS SPAs decision to use the DROP DEAD RULE (like there realy is a drop dead rule in slo-pitch softball) is stupid. it should have been the we have there MONEY lets get the games over with as fast as possible so we can keep it. SPA dosent care if you play real games or use real rules its all about the money. the major-plus played with there rules and not with the drop dead rule, because they were going to leave and not play at all with the drop dead rule. SHOW ME THE MONEY!!!! an spa tournament offical was arguing wiyh players about the drop dead ruyle and got quite rude, i guess he forgot who works for who at these tournaments |
Feb. 25, 2008 b blake | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: Super Mjor Softball-The way the game was meant to be played Jim i think this is a great idea,we still have a lot of players who want to play power softball. i think unlimited home runs will go a long way to protecting the pitcher and limiting the number of balls hit back in the middle. a 2 hour game time should allow you to keep the tournament on time. |
