I would like to congratulate The Fountain Valley Outlaws for winning the 65 AAA div at this years Winter Worlds. You spanked our butts when you needed to. Great Championship game and truly a great bunch of guys. (There will be more Silly String in your future, I'm sure)
I also want to thank and congratulate my OC Mustang team mates on a very good tournament, we started slow and finished strong, but ran out of gas coming out of the losers bracket.
The competition in our division was as tough as I have seen it in many years. While we didnt play every team we did watch those we missed. The Sidewinders, Bennetts, Scrap Iron, The Ancients, are as tough as any teams you want to play. More importantly, they are all good guys.
My thanks goes out to each of them.
To the Sidewinder team, our last game with you was an epic event. No quit on either side, thanks for that game.

Discussion: What do you do for arthritis

Occasionally crying works, must be the sodium dripping on my hands.
Actually I havent found much that helps for long term, except constant exercise.

Stick the bottom line is its your back, see your Dr for the correct or at least the professional advice, some home remedies with your back without being informed are just plain silly not to mention dangerous.

Discussion: Socks

I went to my local Berkenstock shoe store and bought a couple of pair of Berkenstock 1/2 insoles. They are ridgid and fit from the heal to about the start of the ball. Keeping the arch well supported and they last much longer then the support socks.
I have them in my cleats and walking shoes.
Since using these I have had no issues with Plantar Fascitis.
My research also suggests stretching the calf muscles well before any running or exerting exercise of the feet and lower legs.

Nice job Glovedad, well done.

Tim as I see it as we age, we all need some kind of aid, we loose our strenght, ability and agility. Telling yourself otherwise is talking to a fool.
If the bats help us enjoy the game why not use them. And whats wrong with being able to hit further now then when we were 20 or 30? As far as changing the game, that started when the first bat other then wood was introduced.
For me, I like the game as it is, Senior Bats, 44/375 ball, and 0 0 count works just fine.
This isnt just my opinion, it is The Majority Opinion withing SSUSA.......

Discussion: 1-1 count no extra foul tourney

Wow, after reading every post in this thread I have to stand with The Wood. As I read it all he is asking for are some FACTS. That doesnt seem too out of line.
I havent read anything that is an all out personal attack either. Maybe some ineuendo but nothing that calls out anyone by name.

For everyone who wants the 1 n 1 count, if stats hold true, in six (6) years you will vote against it. Since you will be in the 60 or above age group.

Taits, I'll be looking for Joe's Platooning thread, he is priceless!

Joe I know you are reading this, email me with your thoughts.

Tim I'm not arguing your "Facts", only the "Fact" that you seem to always want things changed.
My point is, why? Its very obvious the vast majority likes the way Senior Ball is going and is being played.
Half of the "Facts" you list are better suited to a circus act.
Let me guess, are you a pitcher?
You want to return to an era gone bye and its just not going to happen. Pretty plain and simple.

Sorry Mark....

I use single vision lenses as an infielder. (many on my team will tell you they dont help me) My eye Doc is also a team mate and he wears bifocal transition glasses. I guess its what you can get use to playing with or works best.

Tim you need to cry someplace else. If I had that many things to piss and moan about I wouldnt play Senior Ball.
And for the others who took this thread as anything but a fun place, you are far too serious about life. Lighten up boys. In My opinion.
Mark, thanks for taking many of us back its been fun!
In My opinion......
Thanks Mike....
