Staff, talked to your office today about something else and you have my correct email. I am sure I did not receive the link for the survey. Maybe there's something more to the low response totals?
For the record, if anyone cares;
YES for the 1-1

DonnieF we have a tourney in Hayward this weekend and there are a couple of teams from that area entered. Look on the NCSSA site for directions and other info.

I have no idea if they need anybody, good luck.

Brock hows the weather there in Aug?
We were thinking of adding this stop when we thought it was the Westerns. We still might make it though just to go somewhere different. Sacramento is not a nice place in July-Aug.

Pricer, the X-Rock had a lot to do with the very high count in Vegas. Tattoo is not exaggerating at all about his ball. Every BP session we have the longest ball hit is the Rock 9 times out of 10. You can really feel it compress the bat more then any other ball I've hit.

I find it ironic that staff used the worst run tourney I've been in, to base their decision on. Vegas' dry air, coupled with playing at 1 in the morning with a ridicules ball, made for some out-of-whack games. WE played in Phoenix with the regular Stote ball and normal temps. around 80*. The games were close and nowhere near the homers hit in Vegas. I guess it just pisses me off when people like "staff" make shit up. You got the money and make all the rules, just quite jacking us around.

Rich not pissed I'll get by. May not be there for long anyway.

Dog not everyone is as awesome as you, just stating what I've seen the last several years in AAA.
Of course it's IMHO.

Well I'm going to give them a D. I agree with Swing, they struck out on the 1-1 count. It's badly needed, maybe they could have done it for 50's and 55's only? I don't know, just a thought.

The AAA home run rule is a terrible idea. There are a lot of powerful hitters that don't possess great bat control (me). I felt a lot more comfortable this last year knowing I could swing for the gaps and if it went out, then it wasn't too bad. Now I'll have to bring my swing down a little and...

Now don't bash me for being a head-hunter, never have been never will. I'm stating what is going to be back in the game that I saw very little of this year. SSUSA was NOT thinking of player safety with this one. That's for sure.

Just another Miken story.
I'm amazed people still buy these (I know yours was free). There's better bats out there people. And better distributors too.

Really? Guys things change. There is ALOT more seniors playing now, if you haven't noticed. The level of play is going to improve. Ball players are going to be faster, stronger, and in some cases smarter. It's not the same game it was 10 years ago, clearly. The one thing that stays the same is consistency. Weather it's top to bottom of your order, or of individuals. You are going to see guys that hit the ball a long ways in AAA now, but if only a few of them in the line up do it there probably not a major team. There's still a big difference between majors and AAA. I play on a good AAA team and we were bumped to majors for a short time this year, we got killed up there. We don't have a consistent line up top to bottom.
It's still only three and then singles. That keeps just about everyone in the game. Do what you do well and don't worry about everyone else.

Most of the umps we had were fine. Always the few questionable calls but they were the least of the problems at this tourney. One gentleman did get really fed-up with a couple poor sports from Idaho, but it was very late at night and his 9th or 10th game.

Speaking of poor sports, does any know the Bucs from Texas I think? Several wouldn't shake hands after and the whole team ran off and didn't give a salute to us (Ave. Towing). We have no idea what that was about. There was no crap talking at all during the game. First time I've seen that in Seniors.

Doorman, good review of this tourney. We had a similar grueling experience, with a few additions.

We had to play at Cheyenne at 7:30 Fri. morning and were greeted with fields not prepped and the sprinklers running in the outfield.
The director couldn't check us in due to being on the phone trying to get someone out there to shut off the water. So we start a hour late, but at least the puddles in the outfield let you know where the low spots are.

We did check in but only after more delays to do so. Then, AFTER our two games, our manager was handed a bunch of participant bracelets to be given out. Seriously? Oh well, at least we are honest and didn't pull anything.

We played until 1am also, but it was due to a Coed tourney being played at Cheyenne. ALL MORNING GAMES WERE PUSHED TO THE AFTERNOON.
ARE YOU FRICK'N KIDDING!!! Travel back to the hotel, shower, unwind a little, it's now 03:00. Sun game time 08:00, so up at 06:00, do the math, this sucked.

There is a bunch more, but not worth the time.
Hennessy said in the managers meeting that Cheyenne isn't that bad. Tell that to our outfielder who tore up his knee in the worst outfield I've seen in a long time.

Hennessy also said he tries not to read this message board. Dude you better start, because you and your other organizers FAILED miserably.

LET ME BE CLEAR, the men and women that were out at the fields trying to deal with this debacle deserve great praise. They worked hard and I thanked them every chance I got this weekend.
The ones responsible for this mess should be ashamed.

Great, just what I wanted to hear. We are scheduled to play there this week. Look at google earth, you can see the trenches!! Glad I can stand and pee. Maybe I'll use Frans tires.
How about a little rebate SSUSA? Like about half. Ya I know, fat chance, the money's already in the bank.

So you are saying that Miken is falsely selling something else as a U2. Makes sense to me, the two I have swung feel and sound nothing like a U2, or even a Freak. I'm not sure, but isn't this fraud? Even if it isn't really, it's close enough for me. Glad I gave up on Miken a year ago.

Very possible curve. The soft feel is deceiving, they are a "hard" ball. Just wondering what others thought. Thanks.
