Lost glove at Western Nationals last Thursday. Glove was a left-handed Miken left in the dugout of Field #1 of the Sacramento Softball Complex at last weeks Western Nationals. Name on the glove is Bruce Allen. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Discussion: Any Update on The Stote?

Really did not want to get into this topic (other than with my softball buddies) but...Just will put this out there as one players's observation. Reno we used the ASA 44/375 pillow ball with characteristics of a limited flight ball. Northern California Championships we used the Evil AK-EZ pillow ball with characteristics of a limited flight ball but with very high seams. Can only speak to (not for) 65's and 70's in multiple divisions. Balls over, off or near the fences were virtually non-existent. Granted both teams used the same ball however it was absolutely not a quality product. Please do not be led down the path or sell us that all 44/375 balls perform the same. Those who play the game know differently. I know that SSUSA is earnestly trying to acquire sufficient quantities of balls for upcoming tournaments. I might only suggest that we might deviate as a one or two time exception from the current ball standards to a ball more equitable to the standard one we cannot obtain.

Discussion: WINTER WORLD'S • 65/70-Platinum Update

Curious that the Winter World's 65's age bracket (which included two of the teams being highly discussed) has mysteriously disappeared fro the tournament page. All other age brackets are STILL available for review. Hmmm

Discussion: Vegas Bat Display

To HAT MAN....with all due respect please i will re explain my own question/statement. Basic bat or product reviews are great. This has absolutely nothing to due with or is a shot at anyone's character as many of you have taken this, you missed the point. it has nothing to do with whose bats you sell Dudley or Miken. It also has nothing to do with fees you paid (you may wish to obtain the fee issue policy directly from SSUSA as i did). It is a simple matter of sellers with a business advertising TO SELL on this board. Trying to be subtle about it is still advertising to sell. Fees or no fees (please research the guidelines). SSUSA does try to police individuals who violate the no selling rules but as stated previously in this thread by Dave, it is an on going nightmare. I want to state that i have no dog in this fight and my initial comment was if one or two sellers are allowed to sell then all should be afforded the same opportunity. Dave you may want to jump in here when your not smashing the gophers.

Alan
One final last comment and we can put this to rest as i believe the other posters are astute enough to see what is going on here. Your statements regarding "This message board is a free service" and "Nobody is obligated to anything beyond that". is accurate. However you cannot deny that you have profited via sales by mixing in your product evaluations along with your business name, phone number, locations and more. You can spin it anyway you wish....This simply has led to more sales for YOU. Maybe this will help to clarify.... Other licensed and authorized small business individuals do not have the option to sell or advertise on this board as they play by the rules thus affecting their income. An option for the most part you have been able to avoid. I hope your sales do well in Vegas but i ask that you put the shoe on the other foot and see the advantage you have been afforded by ignoring the true definition of the rules.

Dave..
As previously stated i understand the Miken issue however with all due respect you state " they are not violating any posting guidelines" My reference was to the following type of regular posts......" Breaking news....
I just received word from Dudley that I will be receiving the first batch of new 2.0 Lightnings in the next 7-10 days. If you need more info on the bat or have questions please get in touch."

Alan..
Yes i understand that however let's be honest...you also push Dudley bats as well as other items. I frankly don't care but you must admit you have garnered a very nice sales forum here (with very minor push back from SSUSA) and continue to do so. Message board guidelines do seem to be quite clear.

Hey Dave...
just wondering if i (and anyone else) can advertise our businesses and use this message board to sell our products anytime we wish? Appears that at least 2 individuals continue time after time to have special dispensation. Just asking.

Discussion: Balls

A sore subject and certainly not a new critique to SSUSA. Which has turned a closed mind to the issue and falling back on the " we have a remaining contract" with Anaconda as their out. The ball has always been inferior in the heat and has gotten progressively worse over the years. SSSUSA can put any type of spin they wish however the Trump Stote ball is an embarrassment, cost cutting short cut and a slap at those paying the fees and the ones fortunate to have sponsors putting in their hard earned money.

i believe some are overlooking the second and arguably the more significant infraction here. The action of consciously putting softballs (new or not) which may have been who knows where and handled by how many into the drinking water of others now becomes a potential significant health issue. It is only speculation who drank from that cooler and if this was not just the one game of several that they pulled this.

Hi Dave...just wanted to clarify what was previously posted. The offenders stored the balls (apparantly) in the same water cooler in the dugouts that we players use to obtain our drinking water from?

Discussion: Time to eliminate senior bats

Hey Mark.... Pretty much what i was trying to state although via tongue in cheek (humor.. to those i may offended). Still many simply cannot play with the hand (and rules) they are dealt and just be happy to be able to get our old tired bodies on and off the fields and be absolutely grateful to do it again a few weeks later.
