Discussion: SSUSA Arizona Director Rick Seifman

Don't want to throw gas on the fire, but I would be extremely angry if I drove 3 hours each way to play in a tournament- and I was not allowed to play. Wasn't this player already approved by the SSUSA office ? If he was an approved player- Where is it in the rule book that says the TD can keep a player in good standing, from playing in a sanctioned event by SSUSA ? If he didn't start a ruckus at the tournament, which would be covered by the Code of Ethics- then the TD has no authorization by rule, to not allow him to play in this tournament. Whether he's upset with him or not. The TD has no authority to suspend or prohibit a paid registered player from participating in a tournament that he paid SSUSA a personal registration fee to play in.
A TD's integrity has to be above reproach. He/ she should be the most composed and mature person at the venue. If they can not separate their personal feelings from their professional obligations, they shouldn't be allowed to continue as a TD for SSUSA. I understand they are human, I understand they have feelings. It's like being an umpire, you need to be able to take some criticism. Whether it is warranted or not.
There had to be a certified roster- which is an agreement between my team and SSUSA. SSUSA agrees that I can bring these players to Anytown, USA. To play in this age/ skill group for $$$ on these dates. If I was the team manager you can bet I would of pulled my team out of the tournament- if one of my players was banned, and settled it with a phone call on Monday.

If you think about it, that kind of decision affects the whole team. One person should not have that type of authority, to ban someone just because there is a personal issue.

Obviously, this isn't the 1st verbal complaint about Mr Seifman. There should be a formal complaint filed, for each transgression. And an investigation should follow. This type of behavior, can not be tolerated. We are paying SSUSA for a service, a level and unbiased playing field to compete against one another. Rules are in place for everyone !!! Not just players.......

Thanks Tony
The Rookies have always been known to be a loose bunch !!! A wise man once told us that he never wanted to play us before 2 pm- because we weren't drunk yet. They wanted to play us later in the day. Because we were a tough team to beat, until we started drinking !!!! LOL !!!!! Well we have cut back some. We look forward to playing the OG Outlaws and meeting them off the field as well !
We knew that the OG Outlaws and the Braves were going to be among the top teams to beat in Utah. We had played against a few of the Outlaws when we played Rio Grande a few years ago. And that Los Vatos Viejos and Rocky Mountain Extreme both beat our 2015 team. We knew we had our work cut out for us.
This was our first tournament of the year, so we are pleased with the result. Looking forward to meeting you guys in the future !!!
Good luck in Vegas !!

Discussion: Durability of Total Knee Replacements

Results vary. I had my rt knee replaced on 2/14/14- still waiting to do my left one. I got an unloader brace in April for the left one- works pretty good. My doctor says u can only have 2 knee replacements on each knee in your lifetime. And that they last 15-20 years. Less if you play sports.

My advice- follow your heart and live with your decision. I have decided to play on- before u have surgery start rehab exercises. It will shorten your recovery time.

George said I'd have too many 55M - asked to pick up you and 2 outfielders. Both Major- I have 2 55M guys on my roster already. Can only have 3. I'll tell the 50's manager from the Rookies.

Orthodics or inserts, yoga, frozen water bottle, and pulling your toes back with a towel all help. My guys and I tape an "X" on the bottom of our feet. Pull your toes back and put tape on 1 side of your foot starting at the heel and then pull it tightly across your foot and put it on the other side halfway up your foot. Repeat on the other side. You should form an "X" with the tape, and the X should be at the source of your pain. Works for us- try it.

Game 14 and game 20 are scheduled at the same time. Game 17 is earlier- maybe a quick switch will do.
