FYI- just bought a Hyper Z on Amazon for $59.95, read this post and decided to try it. I have a Dudley that just opened up, and a Combat Centenarian for a back up. Been wanting to try the Hyper Z

Discussion: Durability of Total Knee Replacements

Results vary. I had my rt knee replaced on 2/14/14- still waiting to do my left one. I got an unloader brace in April for the left one- works pretty good. My doctor says u can only have 2 knee replacements on each knee in your lifetime. And that they last 15-20 years. Less if you play sports.

My advice- follow your heart and live with your decision. I have decided to play on- before u have surgery start rehab exercises. It will shorten your recovery time.

George said I'd have too many 55M - asked to pick up you and 2 outfielders. Both Major- I have 2 55M guys on my roster already. Can only have 3. I'll tell the 50's manager from the Rookies.

Orthodics or inserts, yoga, frozen water bottle, and pulling your toes back with a towel all help. My guys and I tape an "X" on the bottom of our feet. Pull your toes back and put tape on 1 side of your foot starting at the heel and then pull it tightly across your foot and put it on the other side halfway up your foot. Repeat on the other side. You should form an "X" with the tape, and the X should be at the source of your pain. Works for us- try it.

Game 14 and game 20 are scheduled at the same time. Game 17 is earlier- maybe a quick switch will do.

Discussion: SSUSA TOURNAMENTS...???

I am the manager of the Oxnard Rookies, we have been trying to host some SSUSA qualifiers in Ventura County for the past few years. The city of Oxnard used to host 2 or 3 qualifiers every year. Because of our ocean breezes in the summer months and moderate winter weather- we are the perfect area to be hosting SSUSA qualifiers anytime during the year. The city decided not to host any more senior events, so I've tried to host a few SSUSA qualifiers, in Oxnard, over the past 2 years.
In 2013, I was approved to host a qualifier and that they would post it on the SSUSA website. There was some confusion and it was posted under their recreational tab and it generated only 1 phone call.

This year, I called in January and I asked about hosting a qualifier this year in Oxnard- I was told that the schedule was already set for 2014. They told me to call back in August to try to set something up for 2015.

So I will be trying to host some qualifiers next year for SSUSA in the Ventura County area. I have talked to Paul Cochet about hosting a tournament in Santa Barbara, and I have had numerous discussions with the cities of Ventura, and Oxnard. SSUSA has told me in the past as long as I use Don Reddig or Paul as a tournament director, they would allow us to host an event.

Sincerly,
Mike Leighty
