Well I've never been a back up player, and I won't start being one now. and I won't play with losers just to play a game of softball. It anit that serious.
But........if I had Never Won a Championship Ring, and had a chance to be on a Team that could Win one. I could be a back-up player/Cheer leader and would ride the Pine of a fully sponsored Team. Anything other than that,I would pass.
Southpaw you know These Chanpionship Rings are hard to come by, so if given the chance to be on a Chanpionship Team, Yes I would take the invite if asked. But I would be ready to play whenever they put me in(thinking somebodies is about to lose their spot). JMO

I agree Mike,

The ROCK. The best 44/375 softball you will find on planet earth. Period. I just started using them for BP 6 months ago, and they don't wear out. The older dirty balls are just as hard as the new ones out of the box. 1 thing... these balls move a lot while in flight! They can fly, You will see more knuckle balls hit with see balls. I went to these balls because.... I crack bats.

Always looking forward to play against talented ball players like yourself and your team mates.

OMG...I forgot to add the HOF Steve Imlay to my GSF post. Steve hit a few over the net. Steve I love to play against Friends/ex-Team mates (Steve played on our 50s & 60s BASA Team West Coast). And there are a few friends on GSF.

Hey Mike, Leading Off?
I don't know if you like taking walks. Colorado's MC walked me 6 times Sunday in the Final 2 game play offs.

Besides Webbie is a little smaller than you and faster.LOL and like You said "He sure can Hit".

I was really looking forward, to see more Teams from the North, East and South. I remember ten years ago, When we came to LV there would teams from Florida, Virginia. New York (East coast) Washington, Oregon, Texas...even Chicago/Indiana/Ohio.

Minnesota(We played) still has a Great Major Team that has been together for over 10 years,They sent us home last year in the 60 Major Division at the SPA in Dalton,Ga., We were looking for some "payback". Great game, even though we had to give up 5 runs(Still don't like that rule), But it is what it is! Good 1 run Game guys.

I am looking forward to see New and Old Friends again. Real soon I hope.

Webbie, goforit,

I'm sittin in the stands watching GSF and Master Collsion go back and forth, each hitting some monster Hrs over the 40 foot net that is behind the 300 foot fence, and thinking to myself...."Man.. and we have to play these guys!" Two great teams!

Yea goforit, we split 2 and 2 againt each other. You guys won the first and third game, and we just happen to win the 2nd and forth game. All 4 games were nail bitters,

Webbie25, second meeting was better than the first I must say. GSF has always had some great ball players(Freddy. Ron, Corkey), but adding Mike and Joe Rinaldi(is my spelling close)you guys look scary.

I would like to say to my team mates, You guys step up when it counted, those 2 wins were the Wins we needed as a Team to Step up to the.... "Next Level".

Congrates to NCI and FanGrabbers for their Wins also.

Thanks Senior Softball for a Good Tourney

To my 40s team ...Show Time...you'll do better
when you start showing up for BP on Wednesday.

I’ve pulled , strained and torn hamstrings , groin, and quads. I’ve hyper extensions of right knee, running to first base, concussion running into the 1st baseman and torn rotator, doing a head first slides into 1st base. All my injuries were cause by me trying to beat out an infield ground ball. Hustling is really over rate.

Go with Combat, you'll have fun breaking it in.

The Reebok will only teez you(you’ll hit some long shots, and even some tape measure shots, and then it cracks! You look at the bat and it says "Man wasn't that fun", "What do ya say, let’s get another one". Don't do it, don't buy it. I bought 4 in a year. All Reebok bats cracked inside a year, But I was Hooked on the POP and sound of the home runs. Go with Combat!!!!! Don’t go thru, what I went thru. “Reebok withdraws Rehab”

Discussion: Miken vs Combat

At BP yesterday, a friend and new player to senior softball wants to break in a couple of bats before he heads to Nevada for the Tourney this weekend.
So Last night we took the wrapper off a 28oz Miken Ultra II and we kept the wrapper on the 28oz Grey Combat. My thinking was: We would be abe to loosen up the Miken but the Combat would take about 100+ cuts to brake it in. Brand new bats and we were hitting 44 375 Rocks.
Man, I had no idea that the Combat would out perform the Miken. For the last 10 years, I have always thought and felt that the Miken Ultra II was one if not the best senior bat on the market( but not so durable). With about 70+ swings, the Grey Combat was starting to get that sound and pop that we are so use too, while the Miken after 50 cuts, was still hard and no change in the sound when the ball came off the bat. Surprised Yes big time. The Mikens that I use to swing were HOT, HOT out the wapper.
I know it been 4 years since I brought my last U2 off Corky's Truck. But man these are not the same U2 that we use to swing. This New Ultra II felt and hit like a Freak 98

My Question is.... WHAT HAPPENED TO THE ULTRA II ?

Hey Webbie, Which Melee did you break? The Balance or End load. 600 swings, it had to be balance. I see a lot more cracks in End loads than balance bat.

My answer is No swing, Webbie, I like the idea of just move the pitching rubber back 10 to 15'. And give the pitcher a little more time to react to the hard hit ball. But taking the actual rubber out of the game is even better. You pitch from an area that makes you feel safe. I pitch to young men in their 30s and 40s and they love coming up the middle. Being back gives me time to field the ball or get the heck out of the way. But it give you time to react to a hard hit line drive that is knuckling at you. We should never close down a part of the playing field and restrict our game.

Since you remarked twice Don5, I guess I'll have to say something.

I said ...you got a 1 bat replacement warranty, with an end cap with a "W" stamped on it. Don5 I would say that you aren't reading all my post either.

A LIE is a LIE!!!!!Don't sweeten it up.
Yea Don5, A lot of lying goes on this site when guys are trying to sale bats. And by the way I really don't care how many Bats you bought for other guys. People say anything on this web site just to get a NAME, but can't play the GAME.

Don5, You must be new to senior softball? The Miken Ultra II Legacy has not been manufactured in 5 or 6 years. IT’S ONE OF THE MOST DURABLE BATS IN SENIOR SOFTBALL DUD! "You cracked the Legacy in 40 swings"
GO TELL SOMEONE ELSE THAT LIE.

So Don5, Sit back and get a lesson on Miken Ultras. I think you need this,so you'll know just what the hell your talking about.

The 1st Ultra was a Navy Grey color, with a year warrenty. In early 2002, I believe the Ultra II came out and it’s the color you see today. Not the same bat but the same color. The original Ultra 11 was hot out the wrapper and you got a 1 bat replacement warrenty, with an end cap with a W stamped on it. Then Miken made the Ultra II with a medal knob. The reason for the metal knob? So guys like YOU would not Alter the bat. After that Miken went back to the Ultra II that you cracked in 40 swings. PERIOD....
DID I LEAVE ANYTHING OUT GUYS? OH YEA,
the Miken Ultra II Legacy is SILVER/BLACK. HELL YOU'RE 60 SOMETHING, COME ON MAN, YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT.
