Hey Ed,
How are you doing? Good I hope. Question? Do you or Alan have any of the original Vectors (Blue/Black/yellow) with the 3 holes in the handle? I like to get a 28oz if possible. I know that it is an old model, but may be you have one lying around

I believe he said "that the tourney would be RUN the same way ". He said nothing about the conditions of the fields.

cal50, You must have knew Tommy Traini, he was my little league/Biddy Basketball Coach at the San Pedro Boys Club. He always would say " Practice don't make perfect but Prefect practice make perfect,so let do it again". Wow memory lane.

Practice, Practice you mean Practice John ...You are so right about that. You do have to practice that swing. Whatever the type of swing or how you hold the bat, practice is the key.

Mike does have a point. Thinking a little too much when you're in that box, can affect your swing. I used to be an up the middle man when I first came into SS. But now learning(BP)to hit to all fields makes me think, no don't kill the pitcher hit it to third, no suns in his eyes, hit the 4 hole, ok,No inside pitch, STRIKE THREE YOU OUT.....back to BP and get some plate discipline

HJ, question, a right hand hitter must leave go of the bat with his right hand.
My question is why is this done?
My answer is... to keep from hurting myself.

Long Ball hitters have a Longer, stronger, quicker swing, unlike base hitters. I personally have won a few HR contest and I use the regular baseball hand grip, no over lapping. I was told to swing and not to roll my wrist, and let the hands fly (throwing your hands). When I do this, the Right hand releases after contact and the left hand and arm continues its flow thru which ends up on your side and bat on ground and you standing there admiring that long ball you just hit. It’s the type of swing and not the hands. IMO

Discussion: WHAT IS A MAJOR PLUS PLAYER?

Hey Mav19, I was only able to make the Sundays games, because of work, I can only speak for myself....I only played two games, 6 ABs. No problem with 1&1 count, and I did not even mine the 1 up rule. It made a more competitive game in my opinion. Congrates to Top Gun for beating us in the championship game. Yes Mike, the 1 up rule favors the better base hitting team and this weekend it was Top Gun. So we learn Sunday, that All that power anit Sh-- , if you don't know how to hit the ball in the park from line to line.
Hey Webbie, I looked around for you guys, to drink a few more beers but you guys had left the Park. That’s a great bunch of guys playing for Joe Brown; you guys are an awesome M+ team. And that a fact! That 1 up rule helped us by keeping your whole line up in the park. Hell of a Team Mike.

Mike I am playing, 3rd probably so, since Alvin Tate won't be there. This will be my 1st Tourney this year, ever since you hit that seed at me and my hand will never be the same, I really don't like playing Hemet during the Winter months but it should be in the upper 70s this weekend. Remember, it was 8 in the morning and it was 34 degrees outside and you hit a 1 hopper. I was deep at third, I caught the ball(no feeling) then this PAIN shoots thru my left hand and I can't even throw the ball, hell I couldn't even hold on to the ball in my other hand because the pain was that bad.
............But I too can't wait. Love playing against You, but I rather play with you. See ya this Saturday Mike. How is Nolan doing? Tell him I ask about him. Love that kid.

Discussion: Impact Players List

Last year we(D&K)won the 60M in Dalton, Ga. For the first time in 5 trips to the SPA, I did not make All Tourney. I did get the Award for Most Home runs hit for the 60M. I was taken off the New Impact Players list. Now since I'm off the list, I can play 60 AAA, Right? The Rule states that if you are on the IP list, then you can only play Major and Major+. So now that I'm off, I should be able to play AAA. I'm thinking of Sandbagging like everyone else.

My thoughts and prayers to his family and the D&K Family. Sal was one heck of a hitter and I will miss him rolling around the Burbank league on Sunday mornings in his chair. He loved this game of softball.
