Tim, did you find your balls in his mouth? Maybe now you won't be afraid to play M+ quality teams.

Why must you dwell in the past? When I was young, I didn't think about any improvements to the game. I just played by the rules that were given to me. I certainly didn't wish that we were playing like we did in little league! I've always been one to stay in the present time. SSUSA has rules that senior players play by. Sending you back to another era is not an option. Those things they did on "Star Trek" were just special effects, not real.

A few year's ago the manager surprised me by bringing in a "problem" player. Good hitter and glove. A few tourneys in, I tell him that he's got to stop hitting so many fly balls. He say's that he's messed up because he's used to batting 4th and not 8th. That was his last tournament with us. I was not the only one he had spoken with.

stick8.......too many times teams are not at full strength because it's only a qualifier. Some players may come for one day but not for two. You might even have players that play league and don't want to let their league team down just to play in a qualifier. They will play one day also. If your team is at full strength and you loose to one of these half-strength teams, I can see it being disappointing that you're not as good as you thought. When teams get close to the WORLD'S,
then the whole team shows up, regardless of who the competition is.

For a world's, the team flies into town. You're there to play for THE WORLD'S!

stick8.....A 3 team qualifier is probably a local tournament where you are playing a team or teams that you play at every local tournament. The teams may not even be at full strength. If you loose, so what? You're going back to your normal life, perhaps playing in league. Your team gets back together in 3-4 weeks for another local tournament and you've forgotten the last.

Playing a 10 team world, you get to play teams that you see only once or twice a year. If you have a good team and you loose, it's probably because your defense let you down. Something like that, you remember all year. You can give a play-by-play of what went wrong even a year later.

Big difference to me.

Loosing a 3 team qualifier is not the same as loosing at the worlds with a 10 team field. Just as winning a 3 team qualifier is not the same as winning at the worlds. You don't go around bragging about winning a qualifier.

stick8.........What I have seen is the the players that are not going to get a lot of playing time in the DE will get to play more in the round robin. Can't see a manager actually cutting 3 players though. Good luck at the worlds.

If a participating team's roster falls below the 15/16 limit, the team will be able to add players
until it reaches the 15/16 player level. These players must be from the next OLDER age group
in the SAME or LOWER skill level. Managers must notify SSUSA in writing before September
10, 2012, of the players the team is adding

The winter worlds is your team for next year. Did the team you join drop 3 inferior players to pick you up? were you in the same age bracket?

Gary19..........Chief144 said to speak with George at SSUSA. Then you had the audacity to say "Chief, so a team can cut their worst 3 guys and pickup 3 ringers? What would stop that?". I thought you said that you played in tournaments, Gary? You ever see this happen? NO! You can't keep making this crap up Gary. Now you've got stick8 believing that there are teams that do that. Check the rules, call George at SSUSA! Poor Chief144 is sitting at his computer thinking "I didn't say that".
