Chilehead, Sir. We play at the level that each Association put us in. We fear no team. Our leadoff batter is a stud...LOL. C U in Salem are you finally moving up to AAA or are you going to continue to collect AA trophies...LOL. Nothing but Love.

Curty, I wonder when you getting that next big contract by stepping up. At this age to me at least is more important playing with good friends and having fun, than stepping up and play with bunch of super stars passed their prime with nasty attitudes. Being there done that...Enjoy playing up, perhaps you are one of those that I just spoke about. I am 55AA player stepping up to AAA so I can play with my friends and one is stepping down. If one player make us into a 55M on the SSUSA eyes and no other association sees it that way so be it, we will play 55M on SSUSA at least at the VA Beach tourney that is local for 90% of the team. Again as mention on my previous post check the roster of one the 55M that wins a lot of tourneys...they are allowed to play 55M...Why? Asked your mighty SSUSA. By the way stop kissing SSUSAs butt. LOL.

MCK71, You are correct we won the Tidewater championship against two ISSA 55AAA teams and Omega (the only true M team). I believe Omega did not have all of their players and they had a bad day. Now in Loudon again we won few games we got lucky and beat High Street Bucs by a run again they had a bad day...against the FL team it was not even closed, they abused us and High Street send us home. However with that said we fear no team...My personal assessment is that we are few players short of becoming a competitive 55M, can we play 55M sure any 55AAA can play 55M and win a game or two, but why pay $500 to play the same 3-4 teams...Omega, HSB, Sweet Construction..., when you can pay the same money and play a bracket of 10-15 teams...You decide. This is what is wrong with SSUSA and its ranking we are forced to play major (because of one player) but one of the teams that I mentioned above has one 50M+ and one or two 55M+ players but they are allowed to play 55M...shouldn't they be playing 55M+. We are very inconsistent for example without throwing anybody under the bus, our lead off hitter, he can come up and lead off the game with a solo and then don't get the ball out of the infield...Who ever wins the 55AAA at the Salem tourney, should definitely be moved up. My 2 centavos.

SSUSA has to many rules...for example we are a legitimate 55AAA not a 55M, but because one and I repeat one of our friends played 50M+ 2 years ago and SSUSA still have him ranked as a M+ he can only play on a M rated team. So we as a team decided to play 55M on SSUSA so he could play. The other two organizations doesn't have that rule...in reality one player that has not played in over two years should not be expected to make that much of a difference, but SSUSA believe that he does. We can't compete at a 55M we might get lucky and win a game here and there but not consistently. Most likely next year we will not play any SSUSA tourneys unless SSUSA re-rates him and we can play 55AAA. ISSA Salem already has I believe 15 55AAA teams...that is a tourney worth playing. My 2 centavos.

Discussion: Player touches batting mat after home run

This is another one of those of stupid is what stupid does. Another one that I have seen especially umpiring with the flat bellies (depending on the assoc). They hit a HR over the fence on hit and sit situation but keeps the bat on hand and touches first base while still holding the bat...He is out and don't runs count (again depending on the assoc). The question is why we do what we do?

Yes indeed amazing job!!!The umpiring as always were amazing great dudes...Congrats to Omega for winning the 55M and Florida Auto Shades for the Runner up. Well we did as good as a very good 55 AAA team can do playing upper level 55M teams. Our weaknesses got exposed...lack of defense, lack of power, lack of consistency, lack of speed...LOL. Great tourney.

SSUSA I guess you don't have my e-mail address that is fine. I never call the Rec depts. anyways. I understand the rule about making the decision at the ball park, however I believe that is very inconsiderate and irresponsible if it very well known that games will not be played due to weather...to have player come from all over the place to seat down at a hotel...You don't have to be at the field to know that it is going to rain. I understand that for you guys money is everything. My 2 cents.

Wagon487 I have no idea who you are, but please look at the first three words of my message...I know that you can read but can you comprehend. I hope that I can finally meet you this weekend and hopefully you are pitcher. LOL.

Discussion: WEATHER FOR LOUDON TRNY

The weather channel is calling for 80% precipitation for Friday and Saturday. Is there anybody from that area that can confirm the weather forecast. Sometime the local weather forecast is more accurate. It will be awful to drive 4hr to seat on a hotel room and don't get to play. Your advise is greatly appreciated.

Great job this weekend, K man agree with the wind issue, I guarantee you and the many teams for next year that I personally will take care of the wind issue from this year. It felt good to be out there again. Guys this is great venue, hopefully more teams sign up for next year and this tourney becomes one of the premier senior tournaments in the Mid-Atlantic. Again thanks for the opportunity.

We will never just don't show without first running it by the AD and the other team. I am just saying which will be more advantageous the rest or the game. I am not the coach either I am just asking the question...no right or wrong answer I believe. K Man welcome to the Beach hope you have a wonderful time, weather as of now seems to be just fine low to mid 60s.

Quick question for coaches is you have to play a pool game at 0830 on Saturday morning after playing two pool games early on on Friday (0830 and 1030 or so) and the double elimination does not start until 1230 on Saturday...would you rather forfeit the game and let your players rest and probably have BP at 1000 or you play that game at 0830. Personally I will let everybody rest and take my chances after all it is only a 4 teams bracket. What do you think?

Thanks for the comments and the SSUSA respond. Your rule also states "unless it is determined that the player is not a "key" or "impact" player" which he is not. However your decision is made and we have no choice but to accept it (you still have time to do the right thing) so accordingly we will play 55M so our local friend can play with us, we will compete and who knows we might shock the world. Moving forward I don't see us spending the money for the Loudon or Raleigh tourneys and Vegas is now definitely out. Hopefully you will reconsider for next year and allows to play where we belong 55AAA. Oh by the way I am Paco to you. LOL. Thanks for the post acknowledgement.

Discussion: THIS IS AT SSUSA

We are a low level 55AAA mostly comprised of local guys that like playing together. This is our first year together, one of our players that have just played one tourney with us, happened to play 50M+ two years ago, last year he didn't play with anybody. We picked him up and now SSUSA want us to play 55M or he can't play on the local tourney her at VA Beach. He is a very good player but not an impact kind of player. personally don't understand how much of a difference one player can do on a 55AAA team when we can only hit 3HRS...with senior bats anybody can hit a HR. SSUSA this is slow pitch played by bunch of old people, there is no million dollars contract waiting for us...why can we play with our friends even if one of them played once at a higher level? We need some regulations but not to that extend. We will abide by your rule so he can play...but will never play another one of your tourneys, you can keep your sorry patches and your stupid rules on the West coast and stay away from the East coast. ISSA is doing a fine job. Smoke is coming out my little brain. Merry Christmas, Happy new years, Happy Easter.
