Discussion: 55 AAA finals in Vegas

Road House loaded up at the "Mid-Atlantic Last Chance". They added few players to their roster just so they could be eligible for Vegas. However, that is a very common practice and SSUSA allows it, that is why they have those last minute tourneys. They are coming to VA Beach as 55 AAA in few weeks, lets see how they look without all of their pick ups...LOL. I am not hating, just stating a fact...CONGRATS Road House, real nice bunch of guys.

Wow. Another better than the rest Senior bats and you as fools will by it. I got few friends that still have senior bats in the wrapper, because they buy the next great one before they get a chance to use the old great one. LOL. Guys a senior bat is a senior bat 301 feet is the same as a 400 feet. Please wait a year or so and you get a great senior bat at very good discount.

If it is somebody playing 50 M plus. I have the feeling that he is guilty as sin assuming that it is the person that I think might be.

Mr. Manassas stop crying. You put a superstar team on an area where there is no competition. Your weakest hitter hits 750 on a bad day. Why should I pay $600 to play for second. Sadly said but that is the problem with big powers teams there is no competition. I believe that you will beat most of if not all 55 Major teams on the East coast. Believe me I enjoy watching you guys hit it is clinic every time. Sorry but that is the price you pay for putting a great team together. Not hating it just reality.

Great wknd of softball. I might be a little bias because I am from here but these fields are some of the best in the East Coast...the only inconvenience is the restrooms location. In general great tourney, hopefully we get a better participation next year. Thanks to SSUSA for bringing it here. Congrats to all the teams especially to the Champs. See some of you at Glen Burnie in few weeks.

mck71 I agree that on ISSA is a lot of sandbagging... You pay you play. The 50 AAA is probably the most competitive and it is because a lot of teams should be playing M us included, so in reality we are playing M ball without the tag. Last year was our first year playing together, started a little slow some of the guys having to get used to senior bats and the speed of the ball but we finished strong. This year I expect us to win few tourneys or at least make it to Sunday. Personally even though I believe that I can play either 50M or 55M I prefer to play with a bunch of nice guys that I enjoy spending a wknd with. I believe we have 5 or 6 Marines that played on the all Marines team when they were active duty...so the talent is there. Could we play 50M sure and I believe that we could compete...but why play $600 to play a 3-4 team tourney when you can pay the same and play on 10-15 team tourney and still compete. My friends there lies the problem.

It is interesting that ISSA have no Major + team and you don't hear anybody complaining. SSUSA in my opinion is way too strict and have way too many rules. Personally I care less for SSUSA and I know for fact that a lot of teams on the East coast don’t play that many SSUSA tourneys just because of that. In marketing and business I was taught to go after the larger market and cater to them. On the avg tourney how many M or M+ teams enters 1, 2 maybe 3 and if it is large enough maybe 4 or 5. Now how many AAA teams are on almost every tourney at least on the East coast anywhere from 12-20. If I was running this business I will go after what is making me money…the AAA teams. I believe that to some extent that is what RB from ISSA is doing. No M+ division and he get no complaints from the Major teams. Personally two divisions is all what is needed a competitive and a recreational division and you can label it anyways you want AAA and Major. One more thing don’t believe the hype about M or M+ they are not all of that and not that is not the best competition…most of the so called M+ are just a bunch HR hitters that can play no defense. By the way I played 50 major and have a 2010 TOC championship ring to prove it. Personally I put my glove at SS, arm strength and speed against any M or M+ SS any day and twice on Sundays. Mis dos centavos.

Discussion: How to get more teams willing to play in the Major-plus division

I have not read everybody's input. Why have a M+ DIVISON when you can not get enough team to play in it. ISSA has it right get rid of the M+ division. More than that get rid of the AA division. senior bats changed all of that two divisions is all what is needed or get rid of senior bats. AA team hitting 6-7 HRs for outs AAA hitting 6-7 HRs for out...but why will you want to move up and play 2 out of 3 with the same teams over and over at least that is the case in Mid-Atlantic area. My two cents...

Benji4, actually I do play SS and I that is exactly what I say...WOW, but that is the case with any senior bat. Senior ball has become almost one dimensional which I believe it is bad for the sport...but that is a different topic. Senior bats is a big business and we will keep it going...we all like new toys.

If there is any 50/55 M or AAA in need of a player please let me know. I usually play SS, 2nd or any where on the OF. Do not play 3rd and don't catch. Hit for high avg with decent power...good attitude and great team mate. I am already on a team so I am not looking for a permanent team...just for the TOC. Let me know.

When few people get kill then they will change the bats. Personally I believe that with new ASA and Utrip standards is all what we need. Of course the big power hitters will shave them, but it is better for one or two shave bat that senior bats. My opinion. The game is just one dimension 'offense.'. Mis dos centavos.
