There are six teams in the NSA 50 AAA World Tournament in Boaz. Metro Star and OG's from Louisville, Indiana Classics from Indy, Echo Quest, Pensacola Merchants and Eagle Systems. I don't see any of the last three teams in the ratings and wondering if anyone knows anything about them?

Rabbit, that's a pretty good evaluation of the teams in the tournament. Maybe you should help in the overall rating system. We are looking forward to playing this weekend. We are still rated major but have appealed to AAA. We have lost six good players from last years team and our record this year is 4 and 8 and three of those wins are in a 35 and over rec league. We have lost to Zepplin and OG's this year in our league. Both of those teams have improved. Right now we are not even a good AA team. Maybe we will break out this weekend. I did hear a rumor that there is a pickup team in the tournament with major and major + players whose teams could not get in but I have no proof. Ggood luck this weekend and I'll see you around.

This tournament needs to go to a 3 day format. Scheduling could have been better. We played a 7:30am, 2:30pm and 8:30pm game on Sa and we were the last game to finish on Sun. that should not happen in an all round robin tournament. Also why have a rule book if you don't use it. We had 1-1 count with no extra foul, 53ft pitchers rubber(no box), 50 min time limit play on more inning, last inning flip, all divisions home runs are double. In the 50 division there were three divisions with six teams in each, Major plus/major, AAA, and AA but all had the same home run rule. This tournament was designed to get the games in as fast as possible. The facility is great and with all the rain most tournaments would have been rained out. A lot of teams did not play on Sun. This tournament needs to be played by senior rules and over three or more days.

Discussion: Review of Tournaments

I would like players to review the senior tournaments either before or after. We plan on going to Indy, Columbus, IN. and Champaign, IL. or Johnsontown, TN. and other places and I would like to know if these tournaments are well run. Let me know what these tournaments have to offer from a players point of view.
