Discussion: What Define a Major Plus Player, a Major Player and a AAA player and Who rates Them

I played on a Major Team that won a SPA National.I did not play a game all summer due to injury but I was on the roster. The team broke up and Major Plus is my Classification now.

Discussion: Blowing up the middle in Senior Softball - are screens next???

I recently hit a liner to a pitcher which was caught. We were losing late in the game and I hit a 2 strike short pitch.Problem is I was our pitcher and my teammate warned me to cover up next inning. The first batter hit the ball over my head and the second batter hit me square in the upper leg.I like our bat /ball combo but lets play like over 50 men.I like the idea of pitch screens after having thousands of BP balls hit at me and using it in a early season tourney.Hitting a safety sock is not the answer unless you want to play the same team best of three in different cities.

Relax,it is my favorite pitch to hit.You know its coming and the break is consistent.I wait for the slightly inside pitch which curves into my power zone.

Joe,Your quotes, snap catches and peek a boo pitch's were the best.Trying to find a team to help cover expenses are very limited in your eligible area.

Discussion: well lets go to the ball again

If any major changes are made to the bat or ball it would kill SSUSA tourneys. Most of the players know it and officials know it.There could be a spike in local senior leagues for the love of the game but you wont get my thousands of dollars to travel. We have choices and evaluate the return on investment. The economy has been in the tank for years and the end is not in sight.

Pitcher55,I have the same bat,do not give up.The bat is as live as anything I have used.I honestly have hundreds of BP swings on it.Very durable!

The latest run of Reebok bats are more durable. My bat was a little bit of a clunker out of the wrapper but it now performs as good as any other senior bat.

Used my new Reebok 26EL this past weekend and it was the talk of the tourney.I used the Ultra in my first year and the Combat the next two. These bats are all excellent choices. The China comment has me feeling bad.

I bought 3 26oz endloaded and all are in the garbage.Hit bombs but they seem to brake quickly. My teammates have experienced the same.

Local open tourney,my teammate hits a Home Run over the right center field fence landing on a street and bouncing into the open drivers side window of a car as it approached a stop sign. The driver paused and threw the ball out of the window and drove away.

He means a flat piece not a slab.I avoid catching a hard hit grounder through the box because of deflection.
