I am 57 yrs young, live in the upstate SC area.Played with the young guys last year. Bat left, throw right. Played 1st,3rd and pitched on occasion. I posted a while back and have not gotten a response.I am 57 yrs old. I played with the young guys on 2 church teams last year. Played 1st, pitched, 3rd base. I could play OF with the senior guys. I am mainly a hard line drive type hitter but I do have an occasional long ball. I also like to think of myself as a team player and would want to make a contribution to any team I am with. I have never played senior ball, but I think I could fit in at least with a AAA team. I live in the Upstate SC area just out of Clemson SC.I am going to the CST in Jacksonville in Feb. I played with the young guys on 2 separate teams this spring and summer. I am not ready to quit for the year yet. I played 1st and was backup pitcher for both teams. I am comfortable at 3rd as well as 2nd. Can play OF and would play anywhere I am needed. I am 56 yrs old and live in SC in the Clemson area. I am a line drive hitter with occasional pop. | April 15, 2008 bigpop56 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Thanks guys Thanks guys for the welcome. I got hooked with a couple of local church teams here in the Clemson SC area. One team plays on Mondays and some Tuesdays. The other one has a double header on saturday afternoons. Had my first game last night. They started me out at first. We got mercied after 4 innings, but I did get a couple of swings. Got a good solid line drive hit to left center and fouled out at my second time up.(Gotta get used to starting with 1-1 count). But it certainly felt good to be out there once the first game jitters eased off. Thanks again fellas. |

I am new to the board and getting back into softball after a 10 year layoff. So far my experiances since I started my comeback have been all positive. I attended the CST in JAX that the Hollis family put on. Man did I ever have a great time. I met some great people including BruceinGa, Firebird380 and a couple of guys from Tennessee whose first names were Jim and Larry. By the way, My name is Dave and I am the old f--- in left field that tried to catch a fly ball with my face.
