I agree, kids should all use wood however, It's not just the advancement in bats. Kids are getting better every year and most of the kids at the higher level like 11 and 12 year old majors for instance are going to baseball clinics year round.

The 11 & 12 year old kids from where I live and my son plays in Whalley (Surrey, BC,) just won the Canadian Little League Nationals and are off to the Worlds Series.

Discussion: Are teams taking advantage of the don't hit the middle feelings?

As long as your not trying to hit the pitcher why not hit it up the middle and if you have two strikes or are out of home runs where else would you hit a ball at?

Use your warranty card and send it it. Pretty cheap way to get a new Miken or any other bat is my guess.

60-Year old George Masters (Captain Marauder) from Vancouver, BC, Canada had a quintuple by-pass last year and is back playing. He should fit in well. LOL

On a more serious note; congratulations guys for staying at it!

I agree. In competitive ball, to have more then 3 or 4 courtesy runners in a game is an overuse of a good resource.

Discussion: WHAT R U TRYING to do LVSSA?

Would it make sense to keep the mat size the same in all associations, whatever the size is so long as it's the same? AND...on another topic. Would it make sense to have the LVSSA 50s tournament the weekend of Oct 15/16 & or 17th if needed? (17th is the Monday) That way we & many other 50s teams could play in all three tournaments during the two-week stretch...Huntsman Oct 10/14 - LVSSA Oct 15/16/17 & SSUSA in Phoenix Oct 20/23.

Based on current scheduling; our team will play Huntsman and then have nothing to do for 5-days until the SSWC tournaments starts in Phoenix and we could be available to play during that time period of Oct 15 ñ 17.
