Discussion: Are time-outs allowed after umpire calls "Batter up"?

Not the anwser to your question but, players can only request or ask for a time out. Only the umpire is allowed to "call" timeout.

Your age doesn't change the rating level. 50 AAA has a higher rating. 50AAA has a rating of 7. 55AAA rating of 6

Discussion: Throwing Help

Try this.Helped me. The player in the video routinely throws runners out from anywhere on the field.Has one of the strongest arms in senior softball. Still pitches 35 and over baseball. He is 55.The Excercise work.Do them as part of your daily excersise or rehab.Easy and simple

Discussion: SSUSA Staff: Shaved Bats

I have never swung a Senior Bat in tourney play and I have never used a shaved bat.I get asked all the time why I don't use a Senior bat.Well I'm not the guy that needs to hit the ball five miles and with the balls we use a good well broken in USSSA bat works for me. And if I break it I can return it for replacement.I have no interest in a Senior Rocket launcher!

btw I hit .750+ every tourney with a homerun every now and again too.

BIG-E You stated that you entered "after the deadline".

Refund policy: Entry Fees are non-refundable after the deadline. Full refunds are given to teams withdrawing BEFORE the deadline. NO refunds are given after the deadline.

Discussion: ASA Combat?

Yes that is correct.Bat must be stamped with BPF. Click on BAT POLICY at the top of this page. Again if memory serves me. Combat bats made in Canada have no BPF stamp.

Discussion: would like an explanation

It is common knowledge that the other associations allow teams to play below a teams SSUSA rating.I think the point is that ratings should follow the team no matter which association a team plays.

Discussion: Arrogance can hurt a pitcher

Dancer you "usually don't hit the middle" but, you just stated two times that you did-how pretty a hit that it was and explaining how hard you hit the pitcher "last season" and now the pitcher is "trying to take the middle from me".

Discussion: HOME PLATE UMPIRE POSITION

Is the common behind the play what is CORRECT or may an UMPIRE choose his or own position .My assumption I guess is, if the UMPIRE is the pic chose the position he did and was allowed to do so without UIC challenge there is no "Correct / Proper position??

Please view link.
Would this or is this considered a proper umpire position ? Would it be distracting to you as the batter ?

Ground crew??? Fields are a mess and haven't seen ground crew all day.Asked for a broom or squeegee to push off standing water around the bases on a couple fields and was told that "they are all locked up".We did get the games in Playing till midnight.Better weather today.

I tend to agree with NYGNYY.This is a clumsy attempt to rectify a situation with yet another rule when a better look at field scheduling or a timely delay by the tourney Director is all that is required.
