Discussion: RECLASSIFYING A TEAM/AND OR PLAYERS

I don't think It would not be necessary for a player to get reclasified in order to play 60 Major. The "team makeup" is what supports the M+ rating. DOCS played 55M+ in 2015.You stated that you lost 5 or 6 players due to not yet being 60. So the remaining half of your "team makeup" that can play 60 are more than 3 and too many to play 60M because they all carry the 55M+ player rating. 60M+ is one rating class below 55M+ so as a team you have been allowed the one drop in classifcation.

Again not sure but,Individually and dependent on a teams makeup a 55M+ player could play 60M without being reclassified but he would still carry the 55M+ rating.

It not illegal to have more than one wrap of tape. However, and I am talking SSUSA Senior ball it illegal to tape into a cone. You can tape over a cone but, not "shape" tape into a cone.

Thanks Staff.Without naming tournments or Directors, I think it was obvious where I was going with my question. Per your response it appears that SSUSA stated "point of emphasis" is the right directive.

Discussion: records for the year

Here are the guidelines for teams winning the LVSSA/SSUSA World Masters Championships, the ISA Senior Worlds, the SPA National Championships:

1. Teams winning in a division of 6 or more teams and may not appeal their rating increase in [the following Season].
2. Teams winning in a division of 3-5 teams and may appeal their rating increase in [the following Season] after playing in three (3) tournaments.
3. Teams winning in a division of 2 teams will not be moved up.
4. SSUSA reserves the right NOT to move a team up if there is a preponderance of information showing the team should remain in the original skill level.
___________

This is the reciprocity agreement between the three associations regarding rating increases for their World/National Champions ...

Discussion: When did bats start getting END CAPS ?

Bruce a lot before demarini. I still have some old Bombats with endcaps. I started playing softball in 1980 and the first bat that I used had an endcap.I think that I still have it too.It was a bombat as well.

Discussion: New Player

I would re-think your answer Paul.New teams can start as AAA.

I believe a players rating would depend on the rating of the team they begin with. Example: If a player starts with a Major Plus team ,his rating would be Major Plus not,AAA and the Plus rating would follow him for the appropriate number of years after that. I THINK...

Discussion: Colin Kaepernick

What difference does the color of his parents make Benji4? Would it make a difference if it was Tom Brady? (who has two white parents). Not sure of your motivation to make that type of statement. In this case it's not race of parents wheather white or black.

It's RED -WHITE and BLUE!!!

Discussion: SOFTBALL SHOES

Comfort does not always equate to good for your feet.Don't overlook foot support when buying softball shoes. If you have or have had Plantar stay away from BOOMBAH.For those that like Boombah. Tear out the flat piece of foam that they call an insole on Boombah and throw it as far as you can. Change to shock doctor or something similar.

We should change the insoles in our shoes every season no matter the brand but, definately for Boombah

Not the anwser to your question but, players can only request or ask for a time out. Only the umpire is allowed to "call" timeout.

Discussion: SSUSA Staff: Shaved Bats

I have never swung a Senior Bat in tourney play and I have never used a shaved bat.I get asked all the time why I don't use a Senior bat.Well I'm not the guy that needs to hit the ball five miles and with the balls we use a good well broken in USSSA bat works for me. And if I break it I can return it for replacement.I have no interest in a Senior Rocket launcher!

btw I hit .750+ every tourney with a homerun every now and again too.
