omar....the fielder(mostly 2b,and ss) gets put at risk more i think.....as when the runner goes thru the base they can catch the fielders throwing arm and such...as i seen they don't seem to want to avoid the fielder...at least when i used to play out there in the norcal tourney's......

guys what alan said.....wayne really.....run thru to me gets people hurt..and if they play tourney ball it makes for bad habits....also 11 fielders suck for any div below 70's as far as i'm concerned....

yeah rh25...that gets me..when some guy will say he got on base when he has forced someone...and wants a hit for it.....i go with the idea...if ya hit the ball and get on base without causing an out...ya get a hit in the book..b/c trying to have everyone agree on errors and such gets to be a pain in the butt...thats just me tho...makes it easy for the score keeper....

wayne...1.21 or 1.20 are the same......bats before approx 2008 or close to it are 1.20 tested with a 47-500 ball.....the 1.21 are tested with the 44-375 ball...so the tested bats with either of these numbers are suppose to be the same performance.....no difference...so i don't understand why only the one div gets to use the 1.21 bats.......

wayne...what fred says.......ASA bats with the 2000,2004 and the new 2012 or is it 2013 stamps are good to go for ASA...they do have a few exceptions......but basically that is it.....44 ball use the older bats.....52 ball use any bat....

Discussion: batter's box

fred.....don't even bother explaining.....as most of these pitchers on here just chuck it toward the plate with no regard as to where they want it to hit......just hoping they hit the mat...i play mens open age here(no mat..call strike)also....and getting the ump to enforce the ASA rule that they be completely inside the box before i can pitch is almost impossible...and please don't show them the rule as then they become all butthurt that you know more then they do......and the one i love from the ump.."i'm not gonna enforce that rule".....or the lines are not there anymore......wow ......

#19....ASA is that before the pitcher can pitch....the batter must be completely inside the box...no heels out or such as when actually hitting the ball....why they do it this way is beyond me....and also try and get an ump to enforce it.......yeah right.....i think usssa is the same.....not sure why senior softball is different......

rule book wrong......???????......ASA it is anything but a straight back to the catcher directly....is considered a foul out if caught....it was basically fashion after the fastpitch rule.....also it eliminates the over the head rule.....

yes robbie....as long as the swing is full.....doesn't matter how fast they swing.....there is no rule on how fast you need to swing....just no half or bunt style swings.....and i'll tell ya....those guys who can change their swing speed are very hard to defense....

larry your right about the swing speed......it just has to be a full swing....cuda....he most likely should of been called out for his half swing.......and the ump should be calling it as soon as it happens.......now if he is just swinging slowly...that is good to go....i will slow swing to go opposite field for the dump hit.....i just have to make sure it is full....

randall....if the ball DOES NOT go straight back to the catcher...it can be considered just the same as a pop-up......and is considered an out......doesn't matter if it does bounce off the catcher or if it is 1st,2nd strike....it will still be an out...just can't hit the ground.......

swing it is more likely dogs as coyotes will eat the cats....dogs will just kill them and leave them...coyotes think they are a delicacy....like the OP said her cats are found dead the next morning in the yard.......thats more like dogs......i'm constantly running dogs off my place....use my judge and #6 bird shot to the buttocks to chase them off......

FOFO...that is the reason i wear a coaches helmet when pitching....it protects the side of my head also.......not as full covered as the worth or the other catchers style helmets....

also seem to be able to keep my chin down for ground balls...played the inf my whole life so it comes naturally for me.....don't turn...

webbie the rip-it to me is the best one....all the other's in my opinion...block off the feet area from view.....i wear it whenever on the infield or pitching....when pitching i also add a batter's helmet the style they used to coach the bases with......and wear it backwards like a catcher does...

bubblegum...there is no difference in the bpf number.....the 1.20 uses a 47 c.o.r. ball.....and the 1.21 uses the 44/375 ball for testing......
