Discussion: Which .44 375 To Use

stew44....not sure/or why how that info was given to ya....but the 44/375 are suppose to be the max cor/compression.....now baden did have some mislabeled balls back a few yrs ago that they were trying to sneak thru that just outright flew like rockets when hit....but the 47/550's(actually prolly 575) they say they are should of been going real well as that is the back in the day (pre 2003) cor/compression of softballs we used to used before plastic bats....now we did used this ball when the ultra's first came out and it was dicey on the mound.....might wanna check your source again.....

Discussion: TX STATE CHAMPIONSHIP-TOC QUALIFIER

the fields have been great to play on for the last 10 years.....thats how long i have lived in texas......and they redid them just a few yrs back......as for playing 3 days with no more than 6 teams in a bracket...that is completely ridicules.....when we get to vegas for worlds we do 3 days for way bigger team brackets....and with all the fields they have for tx states that should be no problem for a 2-day tourney......

wow...so SPA has gone to a dead ball...the badens they use to use were great...still have a 1/2 dz of them for non-sanction tourneys that require 44-375's.......glad we are not playing SPA this yr....but hey the trump is not better in the heat...

i agree with tattooball....we use the tattoo(not the NX3 yet tho) for our leagues and most every other team does...still trying to talk the coach into the NX3 ball..but he has a supply of the regular tattoo AD Starr balls..also what the local sporting goods store sells.....we have hit the NX3 ball in bp(we have only a couple of them)and they are holding up real good.

wayne37...not the first time he has bolted from the fields at a tourney he has run.....a player fell out b/c of heat in college station a few yrs back..and he was no where to be found along with any director type.....players did the emerg call.....also it was prolly a grand kid he went to see...as i don't think he has any youngens...his kids are grown...from what i remember....

JB yes we got to play, but we were basically threaten to play or loose our money.....let me ask you this...if you go to place of business that decides to only give 3/5's of the product they advertise....do you buy it....without any money back.....just saying....also those patches must have set him back 10 cent a piece....wow.......would rather have had a shirt.....

well again texas half century taking our money and not giving the product promised....yes it rained first day and we couldn't play....we asked if we could get a refund... told no (we could have a partial credit is what we were told......if we didn't want to play)and we were gonna play friday....we got to play 3 games with a 1-1 count...but then he allowed an extra foul...no time saved there...just punishing the pitcher......but hey what can you expect.......

mizuno in their ads say to get at least a .5 size bigger......i had to go a full size b/c of foot being a slightly wider( E ) than normal....the blasts have always been this way....they seem to be ok to play in....just used them (erupts)for the first time this weekend....felt ok......

Discussion: Foul Tip

most of the assoc's now have it as an out if the ball does anything but go straight back to the catcher......the rule was mostly for fastpitch to determine a foul tip..vs a foul popout....also the assoc's do not require that it goes over the batters head...just the the catcher has to make some sort of move to go catch it....

Discussion: Confusion on coach's interference.

B.J. yep....now i do know one assoc that does it this way...and its young guys USSSA.......they don't want fielders just letting balls drop and then have the fielders go and retrieve the ball....from what i understand its for time wasting/saving...we have always yelled out to our outfielders to let it drop on 3rd strikes so as not to allow a runner to tag and advance....

oz there would be only a strike out if it hits the ground IMO.....a caught ball foul is just that..a caught ball ..runners advance after tagging if they want....

so oz40...a ball hit down the line that is caught by an outfielder in foul territory the runners can't advance....regardless of the count.....even on last strike......nope.....

my answer to that is....lock down your sites before telling us....to me that sounds like a good business there......also we don't seem to get the choice out here in texas....its just a credit...from what i have seen....

no priceline doesn't give back our money if we bid....we can pruchase ins to protect our investment in our rooms....if we like......still the tourney was scheduled for a certain area then changed to a hr's drive north.....and really when was the last time you actually gave a refund for a tourney....i have always seen a voucher for a future tourney given out.....at least for us here in texas.....also we do like to book in advance so we can save even more money.....also we should know the fields being used so we can make our arrangements......for the money we spend thats the least you should provide us.......give us a location.....

staff..booking your hotels are not really price effective....when priceline can give us a room for $30-40 cheaper a nite....why would we ..who are on fixed budgets pay the extra for a room when we can find them cheaper...your rooms are not the best bargins..or even close to being ones......vegas last yr i got my room thru priceline for $25 a nite.....and yours were what.....so yes changing locations is a problem......so when you say elk grove for a certain age group and we book for there...and oh why would we book north sac/roseville and drive down to elk grove in the first place when we can book elk grove....
