Andy,
Couldn't resist the dig. We're fine, Pam's still working 3 days a week. Followed Venom's season, sounds like you have a great group of guys. Tell Gary and the guys hi for us. Looking to play 65s with Gusto, hope to see you at a tourney. Wolverine, huh? Only from the neck up!

He has to be put into the batting order BEFORE he steps on the field, otherwise he's a sub not playing. What did the scorebook show? They batted out of order. I've heard of player's batting without recording three outs: it's called pinch hitting. And I don't even want to go into the use of the DH.

Andy, I'm just glad to put last year behind and get back out this year. How many of our guys are on this list? I'm sure you're on it.
Harry, You're on everybody's list as a great ambassador for senior softball.
Mike, Hope you're ok ,see you sometime this year. Don't want to pitch to you, might pull a neck muscle watching the ball go out.

Terry,
He's still 65! While you want to punish the team in question(which no longer exists),why punish an older player? I can understand keeping the current 60 year olds at their current rating, but if it's NORMAL policy to rate the next age group down in the lower age bracket, why not in this situation? You know all the facts and the team in question, but never once considered that the team broke up because their manager moved out of state. The team would have broke up anyway. You can hide behind phrases like zero tolerance, but the simple fact is you made it personal. It's ok little buddy, your organization/your rules.

Harry,
Thanks, thats what I thought. It's not clear with SSUSA. They need a rule book that clarifies ratings and policies. As for me, I only played one tourney last year because of knee problems. Seem to be getting past this and look forward to playing in 2012. Miss the friends I've made on the field. Pam and I moved to Mesquite,Nev.(80 miles E of Vegas) and love it.
Good luck and good health, tear 'em up at TOC.

Gary, Webbie addressed at least 20 issues and it only comes down to bats? In OC,Ca. there are no doublewall bat leagues, yet the same players all play. Yes, they use only metal bats. However, most of the rules Webbie cited are in effect. Leagues and Tourney organizations should be free to determine their own rules. Stay healthy and good luck next year. John

I have friend who is 65 and rated M+. What is his rating with a 60 team? SSUSA says that he's a M+ player with a 60 team. How is this possible with the age groups? Staff?

Webbie, It would lead to fewer players. Maybe that's the goal.Even 8 year olds have different rules than college players. What group are we to support? Best idea is to start you own organization,it's the free market at it's best. Let the individual decide what's best for him.

Discussion: SSUSA,What's the procedure for a player to get re-rated?

Rckound,
I don't expect an answer either, but if I had asked what kind of ball SSUSA is using in Vegas next week, they're all over that one. Only the important stuff. All I'm asking is how to be re-rated as an individual with a rule reference? If they don't do this and you have to be affiliated with a team just state that's the case. Like I said, I don't want to burden a team with an injured player. I guess I'll send an email everyday until I get an answer.
Staff? Terry? George? Anyone?

A133,
You're right if you're a team, but no guidelines for a individual player. Called SSUSA offices, was told to send an email. No one home I guess. I'm co-operative,but it's a two way street. Maybe.
Andy, Thanks.

If I read this right, the answer is no,no,no. It's okay if your one of their favorite teams or players. Andy has hit this on the head. So Cal teams and players get the shaft.
Never let facts get in the way. Face it ,your rating system is lacking. And to the BRAVE managers who put up with this I wish you the best. Who could ever disagree with SSUSA?

Don,
I'm sure he's a great guy,but why not send a reply. I did what I was told,I just want to know that he got the email and he's looking into my situation. He or TH can call me. I'm surprised nobody from SSUSA staff has a reply to a player being re-rated. Good luck to your team next year. nuf said!

Looked all over your website for the proper procedure to get re-rated(in the rulebook also)and couldn't find any reference for the individual player. I called your office two weeks ago and Giovanni told me to send GEORGE an email detailing my situation. Sent the email with a phone number, have yet to hear from GEORGE. My question: Is GEORGE a responsible person? Does he understand common courtesy? Please detail for me with a reference how to go about this procedure. I played in only 4 SSUSA games last year due to a knee injury that could not be fixed. Haven't decided to play next year, but would not want to burden a team with an injured player. Anyone?,Anyone?

P.S Someone there should tell GEORGE to answer his emails.
