DBO----i'VE SAID THIS b/4 . to much of a judgement call and will never be consistent. NEVER----the pitcher has options to wear protective gear----leg pads----face mask---helmet--chest protector---what ever his little heart desire. THAT SHOULD REMAIN OPTIONAL. HITTING UP THE MIDDLE IS PART OF THE GAME. Tournament players /pitchers know what their chances are. You have the optional to wear protective gear. If you can't protect yourself or your not sure wear the gear. Simple as that--Quit trying to add screens, pitchers boxes, field dimintions, different balls, different bats etc, etc. As a pitcher that is my opinion on the subject. Stay health and play well

Well i was lucky enough to hook up with the MARAUDERS-----not sure exactly where they are based out of. I assume the So Cal area. Will have to play my way into a starting position. Hopefully i will be able to share part of the pitching dutys. Can and will play wherever needed to help team win. Thats all i care about. Looking forward to the challenge and meeting new team. Just look for the guy with a dirty uniform ----that will be me---lol

Discussion: Phil Cook, mgrcoach of So. Cal. Cruisers is seriously ill, ...short version.

So sorry to hear Phil passed on. Only played 1 tournament with him in Brentwood. In that short period of time he showed me great friendship and was a great pleasure to have known him. Peace be with him and my condolences to the cook family. From a friend down south.

WHERES WOODY WHEN U NEED HIM------with all due respect to PACO and DALES posts---paco your first post sez if YOU CAN'T STAND THE HEAT STAY OUT OF THE KITCHEN----then next thing i read is you want to take senior bats away and dale wants to take senior bats away frommAAA/AA and let M/M+ use them. Thats complelely unacceptable IMO--------Now if you both are talking about SENIOR LEAGUE play---- make all the rules you want-----League play is for everyone that wants to play good, bad, guys that love the game but just dont have the fire or ability to play old school softball-----By old school softball i mean COMPETITIVE TOURNAMENT SENIOR SOFTBALL. IMO----this is where i want to play---and i beleive most of the guys that post here play the competitive tournament circuit and i hope would agree the senior bats are what they/i want to use---Ultra2---Combat---Worth--etc-----i personially want to play with/against the best equitment that is allowed and i believe what we use now----trump balls and senior bats in these SSUSA, SSWS, LVSSA are safe and great to use. Keep competitive senior tournament softball just that---BEST EQUITMENT AND WHERE US OLD DOGS WANT TO PLAY AGAINST THE BEST COMPETITION in the country. Stay health and play hard. Like i said no disrespect intended----just my feelings

well i my as well put my 2 cents in----I agree with GT completely---Ill protect myself---dont need or want and dumb screen that nobody gets behind in the first place. UP THE MIDDLE IS PART OF THE GAME AND YOU BETTER PAY ATTENTION---like greg said the Lighting is what needs to be looked at---Enough of screens and pitchers box------- also i'd hate to wear a dress wind might blow my skirt over my head-----not good---i pitch and ive been hit---Part of the game----with all due respect-------stay health and play well, just my opinion

phoenix---desert west--------not sure if i got this completely right----but ill give you the drift of the conversation i had with i believe his name was Dennis---Pitcher for ROBSON not sure number of men on base---but their was a over throw at 1st base ----ball hit the robson dugout screen and bounced off----man scored on over throw---but i believe umpire sent man back to 3rd due to ROBSON had to many men out of the dugout--- the ball never hit anybody standing their but ----that was the call-----------dont believe i've ever seen that called b/4-------anyway i think that is correct maybe someone else can verify. i'd also like to sendcongrats to the ROBSON team FOR WINNING 60S AAAand WISH YOU WELL IN THE MAJOR DIV. NEXT YEAR AND also to are good friends and So. Cal rivaly------BRICKERTON----all i can say is you guys must of played your hearts out on Sunday---very very good job-------

Discussion: NIght games in Phoenix 60 AAA

Phoenix-------what a great experience and tournament for a rookie senior player -----thats me. I thought every thing was great till we played a night game. i agree with Fred S.--------both teams had the same conditions so that was fair. BUT being a pitcher myself the safety point was way over looked. You can hit the ball back at me anytime you want to---all part of the game. But when the ball comes off the bat and you have no idea where it is ----thats not good------which happened twice to me in our sat. night game-----first time in my life i thought about ever wearing a cup and a face mask -------besides that great fun and in my opinion great everything. thank you for all the hard work -------------

Now what you didn't tell them was the uses of a first basemans glove at 3rd----two different colored shoes-----1 high top other low cut and i can always recognize you due to shirt inside out with the tag in the front----------OH BOY----and i've seen you play----SWEET-----lol----well i bet u love me now---Seriourly mike just wanted to say hi and wish you and the mustangs success in the 09 season.
