Discussion: End cap repair

3m marine adhesive 5200 is what I have used on 10 or so endcaps. Clean the barrel and the endcap of as much old adhesive as possible. apply plenty of 5200, insert the endcap and clamp it tight. Remove the excess quickly after clamping or it will never come off. Fast drying 5200 ($15 +/-) takes 24 hours to cure and can be found at marine shops. Regular 5200 ($5 +/-) takes a week to cure and can be found at Home Depot. This stuff is great because it stays flexible and will not crack with use over time.

Good luck,

Discussion: end cap for COMBAT

Mike recommended the same product to me. It worked great. I fixed 3 bats and all are still performing vry well with the endcap in place. I did try Combat and they were no help. Good luck with that one. You may want to ask around and find a broken one, cut it into and remove the plug.
