I like reading on this board most of the time. Unfortunately it has turned into a slander and animosity filled site with lots of personal attacks and vindictiveness. Is due to the age of the respondents or have you all been this way your whole life? I say try to stay with the issues at hand and leave out the petty bitterness. Would you be this way to each other on the field? I think not. Lets get back to the comraderie that we joined senior softball for. Makes for a better life. Thanks for reading.

Discussion: What Do You Think

I agree with if you go to a lessor bat then lets bring back the better ball. I do enjoy hitting the ultra but I would be willing to get back to softball as we knew it. I think the only reason they restricted the ball in days of yore was because of cost.

I think what you had was a good old fashion senior moment. It happens ya know.

Discussion: Stepping out of the batters box

I play on these fields all the time. When we first started we had problems like this. We finally figured out that the batters boxes we made to small. They are basically the size of little league. We have adapted to them. The tournamet umps are not used to this fact and I'm sure that contributed to the amount of outs being called.

Sounds like the ump got it right. Afterall the first baseman advanced towards him to make contact. It seems that any other contact would be coincidental.

This is all very interesting and I'm sure we all have our stories. I wonder though. Does SSUSA look at these posts and actually act on player info. I know not specifically but at least in the background. I certainly don't see any input from staff on this subject.

Email Don at donb@rugidcomputer.com. He has one for sale. Don't know cost but I'm sure the bat is ok.

There will be an open practice for senior softball at the RAC sunday Feb 20th at 2 pm. Should be a good place to meet teams and players.

There was a team at St. George at about 2003 that were called the "Beaver Grinders". Said they could have paid for their trip by selling the uniforms.
