| Aug. 27, 2019 Eurskine | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Neuropathy Interesting Post.... I am a victim of Type 2....numbness in the feet..poor blood circulation in the Both legs etc... They did an ultra sound on me a couple of weeks ago.. and a day in September i will have a laser surgery (outpatient) operation on my legs,should take about an hour. The surgery will help the flow of Blood -thru the veins back up the legs. The arteries take it down, the veins bring it up. They also detected small blood clots in the legs that was part of the problem,not life-threatening, but was there.The numbness and lack of consistent blood flow along with the now nerve damage is the problem. Wearing compression stockings will help A-LOT !! Diet --Exercise--and weight loss is a must. Dealing with it,is another bag of worms. I am one of the Vietnam area Soldiers... they sprayed the Deadly Herbicides call AGENT ORANGE back then...and now i have a list of presumptive Diseases that i have to look forward to. All comments are on target. Being active will keep you alive..good diet...stay away from the bad stuff..and if you need to Lose the pounds, DO IT !! Gabapentin, just puts you to drowsy street so you don't think about it...after a while your body becomes immune to it. Good Feedback from Everyone......Stay Healthy !!!! Eurskine |
